Walk past the Material Girls room on any given afternoon and you'll hear it before you see it. The hum of sewing machines, a few rounds of laughter, somebody asking for an extra opinion on a color choice. This is one of the most active groups at Pueblo El Mirage Golf & RV Resort, and it just keeps growing.

With 77 members and a recently upgraded space that finally gives them the room they deserve, the Material Girls have become a kind of soft landing for new residents and snowbirds. You show up with a project, or no project at all, and within an hour you've got three new friends and a quilt block in progress.

That's how friendships start here. Shared tables, shared scraps, and a shared love of making something with your hands. 💙

If you've toured a Legacy Lot or asked about a floor plan around here, you've probably met Brad and Armando. Together, they're the duo making the homebuying process at Pueblo El Mirage Golf & RV Resort feel less like a transaction and a lot more like catching up with friends who happen to know everything about the community.

Brad Shores, our Home Consultant, came to us with a serious golf background. He's a scratch golfer, worked as a course professional in a previous life, and if you ask him nicely, he might just walk you through a private lesson out on the course. Armando Carrera, our Sales Manager, is the resident sports superfan, and the two of them keep the office buzzing with friendly rivalry from morning tee times to Monday Night Football.

Right now, the real showdown is March Madness. Brad is all in on his Duke Blue Devils. Armando is still recovering from his USC Trojans missing the tournament this year. Their bracket banter has become its own kind of community entertainment, and honestly, it says everything about the personality of the people you'll meet here.

Fourteen winters. Fourteen seasons of sunshine, friendships, and memories. That is how long Larry and Bev have been calling Pueblo El Mirage home.

They actually tried another park before finding their way to PEM. But once they got here, something just clicked. The people, the lifestyle, the feeling of belonging to something bigger than just a place to park for the winter. They knew right away they had found what they were looking for.

And they have been coming back ever since.

That is the thing about PEM. It is not just a resort you visit. It is a community that pulls you in and gives you a reason to return year after year. Larry and Bev are living proof of that, and we are so grateful to have them as part of our PEM family.

If you've teed off at Pueblo El Mirage Golf & RV Resort, chances are Barry's already waved you onto the course with that easy grin of his. As our Golf Pro, he's the one keeping our Fuzzy Zoeller-designed 18-hole course in the kind of shape our community shows up for every morning.

Ask him what makes this course special and he won't start with the layout. He'll start with the people. The foursomes that have played together for fifteen years. The new snowbirds who got paired up in October and haven't missed a Tuesday since. The quiet way the course has stitched itself into the rhythm of daily life here.

"This course isn't just where people play golf," Barry says. "It's where friendships get made. It's part of their routine, part of their week, part of who they are here."

That's the Pueblo difference, and Barry is a big part of the reason why. 💙

Some people do not just live in a community. They become part of its story. Betty is one of those people.

For 30 years, Betty has been returning to Pueblo El Mirage, and in that time she has watched so much of our story unfold. She remembers our owner Scott when he was just a kid running around the resort. She still smiles thinking about the day her husband was featured in a Roberts Resorts advertisement back when the fairways first opened. Three decades of memories, friendships, and seasons that have woven her right into the fabric of this place.

Talking with Betty is like flipping through a photo album of PEM itself. Every story she shares is a reminder of how much history lives in these streets, on this golf course, and around every corner of the resort.

It is residents like Betty who remind us what makes PEM so special. This is not just a place to spend the winter. It is a place that becomes home, and a place that holds onto you long after the sun sets on your first season here.

For our current residents, the resort is providing other accommodations while the work is underway, so you will be well taken care of throughout the process.

There is something pretty magical about the championship tournament at Pueblo El Mirage.

115 golfers, carts lined up, and that friendly pre-tournament buzz in the air as everyone gets ready for the shotgun start. Two days of good-natured competition between neighbors who also happen to be friends, with both the men's and women's sides out in full force.

After the final round, everyone gathered on the Bistro patio for a BBQ to close things out together. Plates full, stories from the course flying around the tables, and since this was the last tournament of the season, it felt extra meaningful. One more afternoon to celebrate the wins, laugh about the misses, and soak it all in before the season winds down.

This is the heart of PEM. A community that loves what they do and loves doing it together. Until next season, golfers!

Wow, PEM. What a night.

The Motown event was one of those evenings that reminds you exactly why this community is so special. From the moment the music started, you could feel the energy in the room. Neighbors laughing together, friends pulling each other onto the dance floor, and smiles everywhere you looked.

The food was incredible, the entertainment had everyone moving, and the laughter? It was the kind that fills a room and stays with you long after the night is over.

This is what life at PEM is all about. It is the way our community shows up for each other, celebrates together, and turns an ordinary evening into a memory worth holding onto.

A heartfelt thank you to Robin and the team for pouring so much love into planning this night, and to Christine and the entire PEM team for continuing to create moments that bring us all closer together. There are events… and then there are traditions.

The St. Patrick’s Day Poker Run at Pueblo El Mirage is one that just keeps growing.

What started with less than 100 participants has turned into a 700+ person, park-wide experience, neighbors hopping in their golf carts, traveling stop to stop, and turning a simple game into something much bigger.

Guests made their way across five checkpoints throughout the resort, collecting cards and building their best hand. Feeling lucky? Maybe. Feeling competitive? Definitely.

Led by residents Ziff & Tater, who have been bringing this event to life for years alongside our community, this is the kind of tradition that defines Pueblo El Mirage. It’s creative, it’s social, and it’s built entirely around connection.

Along the way, Saddle Mountain Brewing Company joined the fun, serving up samples and adding even more energy to an already lively day (shoutout to Chad for being part of it 🍻).
