Another beautiful Brinkley Z 3100 in the shop at Henry’s Trailers for suspension recall work and a complete annual chassis and suspension inspection! 🔧

This one has the CURT TCS suspension system, and we’re addressing a serious issue involving broken shock mounting bolts.

The lower-grade hardware used in these shock mounts can become a weak point under repeated suspension movement and road vibration. Over time, that repeated loading can contribute to hardware failure.

You’ll plan the fishing trip 6 months in advance… book the house, reserve the boat slip, request the time off, invite everyone, buy $2,000 worth of fishing gear and watch the weather for 3 weeks straight. 😂

Then somehow the trailer that has to get the boat there gets remembered 48 hours before you leave.

Every peak season we hear:
“Can you just squeeze me in?”
“We leave for Havasu Friday.”
“It’s probably just the bearings.”
“The brakes haven’t worked in a while.”
“It’s been sitting since last summer.”
“I need it back tomorrow.”

“Hey, my wheel and tire just fell off the trailer…”

This customer was trying to SELL HIS BOAT. The boat may have been ready to sell—but the neglected trailer underneath it had other plans.

We hear the same thing constantly, especially with boats that spend their lives around Lake Havasu:

🚨 DON’T BE THIS GUY AT THE LAUNCH RAMP. 😂 🚨

In this Reel, the truck is spinning the tires trying to pull the boat out—and there’s a reason this setup is struggling.

With certain torsion-axle trailer setups, as the trailer transitions over the crest of a steep ramp, weight distribution can change dramatically and reduce the load on the tow vehicle’s rear tires. Less traction + a heavy boat = burnout at the boat ramp. 🛞💨

Then we see another problem…

The engines are being used to try to help push the boat up the ramp while the boat is coming out of the water. Once the cooling-water pickups aren’t adequately submerged, continuing to run the engines can risk overheating or damaging water-pump components/impellers.

This is where buying the right trailer—and having somebody who actually supports you afterward—MATTERS.
