Well its been a week since I posted last, sorry about that. Its been a crazy week and getting alot done. Let me recap it for you.

* Friday - did yard work all day

* Saturday - had a buddy (knows deisels pretty good) come help me work on my 7.3 excursion. We made a deal on price, he showed up at 9am, we trouble shot it, pulled some parts, looked everything over and nothing was making since. We made some phone calls and got good info, just didn't know where to go. So....we talked and decided to chase an oil leak ive had while we thought about the first issue. Id bought a turbo pedestal back pressure delete kit back in Sept and we changed that out. Tore the top of the motor apart, removed the turbo and pedestal. Cleaned everything up, changed out the exhaust side of turbo from the kit, then put it all back together with new orings. Here it was, my issue all along. After we got it all back together we had to install a blanking plug on the connector for the old pedestal that operates the waste gate on the turbo. We couldn't find the plug....looked and looked, finally found it, but something wasn't right....the plug was broke....yep, the plug was broke off the pedestal and wasn't making connection to operate the waste gate. Pulled the broke part off the plug, plugged in the blanking plug in the harness. Started the truck up and took it for a test drive and HOLY S**T!!! It's ran great, pulled like it was supposed to....the best part...when I got home it wasn't leaking oil either!! Here is my thought, cant prove anything and not throughing shame anywhere....when I took my truck to the shop I took it too when this all started, they changed the HPOP out, this plug is about 6" away from in line, when I picked it up it never ran right. 2.5yrs later, I changed parts, Troubleshot things, worked on it and could never figure it out. Needless to say we found this by accident but im glad its finally fixed. I've got a couple other things to do on it, but I can at least drive it and use it now. To say i was pi**ed off is an understatement. He left and we were done for the day at almost 6pm. Thanks Ted.

Sunday - did my normal Sunday stuff

Monday - holiday and went out to have "fun" with the wife. Went to the beach....got a sunburn, lol

Tuesday - was trying to get my skin to feel like it wasn't on fire....ugggg

Wednesday - got over myself and finished working on the Colorado and got all the new parts put on it, got it buttoned up and all fixed! Even snuck in another bumper fix.

Thursday - yard work and had some holes i needed to dig.

Today - spent all day sanding on the mustang. Got all the DA sanding done. Had a few spots that needed fill so did that, osfo'd the roof and a couple other spots I needed too. That's as far as I went today. Have to start taping everything off and alot of hand sanding to do to get it ready for paint.

Thanks for staying with me on this post. I've been meaning to post everyday, just the days get away from me and I didn't. Will get better.

Tomorrow is another day in the shop, thats the plan anyway. Got alittle bit on the excursion I want to do and then mustang is I feel up to it. Stay tuned.

Another day, another long day in the shop.

I finished stripping the f350 today as I wanted all before lunch. It went as good as I wanted it to. I was happy about that.

After lunch I got the Colorado pulled into the shop, got it troubleshot and got into removing the defective part. GM should be shot for there stupid design and placement but thats what they do to drive up costs. We had to remove the brake assist vacuum pump thats mounted on the back of the motor thats drove off the exhaust cam. What a pain in the a$$. You have to become one with the engine compartment to get it out. Second bad part about this design is when it locks up and fails all the parts go in the motor causing more damage. So now you have to pull the valve cover to get all the pieces out. If thats not bad enough, they put a oil drain hole there too, so now all those pieces your vacuum pump just sent in your motor have the chance to get everywhere in the motor, hopefully stopping at the intake oil filter in the pan or "if" there magnetic, go to your drain plug. This is just what I learned today working on this truck. All in all the removal of all this went pretty smoothish. At the end of the day we have parts ordered and should be in tomorrow at some point. Once they come in, we will get this thing all back together.

As for tomorrow, we got our new sander in, so thats an option. We also have a few other things that need ti get done too. So we will see.

Been a crazy week so far. Last 2 days didn't get much done as I had personal stuff to take care of.

Today on the other hand has been crazy and stupid busy. Started working on the mustang when the DA decided to give it up and stop working. So got some filler done to the areas I did get sanded. I ordered a new one and should be here tomorrow. Got all the primer/paint/clear i think i need to get this all taken care of. then called an audible.

Had a f350 sitting here for awhile I needed to steal some parts off of before I sell the rest. Got it pushed in the shop and spent the rest of the day pulling parts. I think I have most of the outside parts pulled. Tomorrow im hoping to get the inside done and pull the drivers side door to finish this up. Then I can finally get this thing out of the yard and put all the parts away in the shop. I have a pile of parts, lol.

At the end of the day, I got a 2020 Colorado dropped off to do some work on. I will hopefully get started on that tomorrow after i get the truck done, troubleshooting and getting the parts ordered. That's the plan for now.

Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Thanks for the support.

Another week in the books. Its been another crazy week with getting things done around the shop. Another week with not alot of work, but we're getting there. We did finish sealing up the paint booth, so its now 100% ready....i think, lol.

Yesterday we had a car in the shop that hasn't ran in a couple years and wouldn't start, we trouble shot it, got the right part, got it installed and she fired up. Another thing the car needs is some clear coat touch up, so thats next week's project.

Got an update on the vans motor, be about 2 to 3 weeks till we get it back.

So here's looking to a busy next week getting many years of sun burt damage fixed, among everything else going on around here.

Got the word back from the machine shop, the motor was really bad and glad we caught it when we did, its getting fixed and hopefully have it back in a few weeks so stay tuned.

Well my first week has been about the best I could have imagined.

Started things off running Monday when Ron brought me his 1980 delivery van with a dead cyl. Got to checking it out and after some looking into it I pulled the head and found vertical grooves on the cylinder wall that tested dead. After talking it over with him, we decided to pull the motor and take it to the machine shop to go through it and make it right. So got the motor out, pretty sure I learned some new curse words, but I got it out. It went to space coast speed and customs to get it all fixed up. It will be a few weeks before it gets done and back to me to get it all back in the van.

Even snuck in a bumper air dam fix, turned out to be a super easy fix.

After working on this I got some time to get busy organizing and trying to cleanup the shop a bit. Got alot done, but alot more to do.

Should have 1 or 2 small jobs coming in next week, hopefully more, but time will tell. Till then more cleaning and organizing for me.
