Congratulations are in order! Matt Doud is celebrating 10 years of service with SaveGuard. He started in 2014 as a production worker, through his hard work was promoted to Team Lead and then Production Supervisor. He has given a decade of commitment to our team, shown resilience through the business ups and downs and had many achievements with his team. SUMMARY
Perform duties required to meet production demand. Includes operating and tending industrial sewing machines; inspecting, cleaning, labeling and packing parts; repairing and altering items; operating machinery; housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Operate and tend industrial sewing machines for sewing together knitted fiberglass insulation products.
2. Guide fiberglass knitted materials under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together.
3. Set-up and operate double needle sewing machines to join parts.
4. Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions.
5. Place spools of thread or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components.
6. Inspect parts to locate defects or damage and repair parts as required.
7. Sew or add special materials to parts, such as wire mesh, as required.
8. Assemble products according to drawings at times using jigs and fixtures.
9. Read, interpret, and understand work order and reference drawings to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, dimensions and tolerances.
10. Verify with work order and drawings that the first part is correct before proceeding with the entire work order.
11. Perform and record necessary quality checks as required.
12. Count and verify finished products to ensure the quantity produced is the quantity required.
13. Correctly mark identifying information, such as part numbers, on parts and/or attach identifying stickers to packaging.
14. Collect and weigh scrap, as required, for each Work Order and following standard operating procedures.
15. Identify quality issues and assist in resolving those quality issues.
16. Consistently meet established production times.
17. Follow all safety precautions and use protective equipment as required.
18. Maintain a supportive and positive personal attitude and working relationship with team members.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Knowledge
• Production — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Mathematics — Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
• Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language.

Abilities
• Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp or manipulate objects.
• Finger Dexterity — The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
• Near Vision — The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
• Static/Dynamic Strength — The ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Written Comprehension — The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Also, requires the ability to accurately read a tape measure using the metric system.

JOB SUMMARY
Perform duties required to meet production demand. Includes inspecting, cleaning, labeling and packing parts; repairing and altering items; wrapping/encapsulating pipes with appropriate materials; operating machinery such as CNC cutting tables; cutting/ironing insulation parts; filling bags with insulation; housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Read, interpret, and understand work order and reference drawings to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of materials on pipes, dimensions, and tolerances.
Accurately measure and mark critical locations on pipes according to reference drawings and as required.
Verify with work order and reference drawings that the first part is correct before proceeding with the entire work order.
Apply various insulation materials to pipes using a variety of methods (e.g. wrapping, spot welding, etc.) per reference drawings and following standard operating procedures.
Perform and record necessary quality checks as required.
Document any additions or deletions of materials (kit) used on the Work Order and/or any changes to quantities produced.
Collect and weigh scrap, as required, for each Work Order and following standard operating procedures.
Operate and tend presses, plasma cutter and other machinery.
Set-up, operate and tend pin dotting and/or laser marking machines.
Cut slabs, press and iron insulation parts.
Maintain a supportive and positive personal attitude and working relationship with team members.

Experience in manufacturing is preferred. Experience operating a spot welder or other machines is NOT required. We train on-the-job.

Must be able to read a tape measure and do basic math. Must have a positive attitude and work well with others.
Flexibility is required (i.e. willing to do what is needed and where it's needed).
