Is your vehicle summer ready?? We have a summer maintenance list we recommend everyone goes over before taking their vehicle on those long road trips :

🌞1. Cooling System / Coolant Inspection: Heat causes stress on the engine! Inspect for leaks and ensure your coolant is at the proper ratio & top off fluids as needed.
☀️2. Check engine oil, transmission fluid, power steering, & brake fluid. Hot weather thins fluids quickly!
🌞3. Battery & Clean Terminals: Heat accelerates battery degradation & check for corrosion on the battery terminals & ensure cables are tight.
☀️ 4. Tires: Heat causes air to expand, so check tire pressure (including the spare) when the tires are cold. Check for uneven wear & adequate tread depth for summer thunderstorms.
☀️5. Brakes: Listen for squeaking or grinding; heat exacerbates minor braking issues.
🌞6. Blades: Summer storms hit fast & hard. Replace streaking wiper blades & top off the washer fluid reservoir.

On today's episode of "What are they working on at Charlie's?"

Did you know our technicians know how to do engine replacements?! In order to do a full engine replacement job, the repairs include removing the old motor from the vehicle, transferring accessories, and installing a new, used, or rebuilt unit to restore vehicle function. Including this vehicle in the photo, Keith & Jacob have completed four engine replacements, a whole head gasket replacement, & a timing chain replacement ALL IN THE LAST YEAR!
