Another successful irrigation pump replacement completed! We recently replaced a golf course irrigation pump that had been in service since the late 1980s—just in time before the warm weather arrived. A reliable irrigation system is essential to keeping fairways and greens healthy, green, and beautiful, ensuring the course stays in top condition all season long.

Understanding the urgency, our team had the old pump removed and the new pump installed within a single day to minimize downtime. We were also able to reuse the existing pump volute and impeller, allowing the customer to keep a brand-new spare set on hand to help reduce potential downtime in the future.

Happy Birthday to our sales guy, purchasing department, pool pump expert, and unofficial problem solver - Robert Kessler 🎉

After 17 years here, he’s seen just about everything… and probably fixed most of it too.

Hope you have a great birthday Rob — you’ve earned it!

Our customer had a vertically mounted split-case pump driven by a 125 HP solid shaft motor that needed a full tear out, rebuild, and installation.

The pump housing had significant erosion and corrosion, which had worn away at the structure, reduced pumping efficiency, and affected the stability of the internal working components.

To restore the worn areas, we used a high-performance epoxy coating designed to provide strong protection against erosion, corrosion, abrasion, and chemical attack.

While the pump was out of service, we also reconditioned the motor by checking that the windings were balanced and properly insulated, dynamically balancing the rotor, and installing freshly greased bearings for long-term reliability.

This pump housing now has new life, improved protection, and a better chance at maintaining efficiency for years to come.

☀️ Summer Maintenance Checklist for Municipal Equipment

As demand increases, it’s important to make sure your systems are ready.

Here are a few key areas to check:

✔ Bearings – inspect for wear and proper lubrication
✔ Alignment – ensure motors and pumps are properly aligned
✔ Vibration – monitor for changes or irregular movement
✔ Temperature – watch for overheating
✔ Seals & components – check for leaks or deterioration

Taking time now for preventative maintenance can help avoid unexpected downtime during peak demand.

We’re here to help keep your systems running reliably. 🔧
