Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience one of the most significant Corvettes ever built during the 2026 Corvettes at Carlisle Grand Sport 30th Anniversary Celebration.
The first Grand Sport ever built, the 1963 Grand Sport Chassis #001 stands as one of the most legendary Corvettes in automotive history. Conceived by Corvette Chief Engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov as the prototype for Chevrolet's ambitious Grand Sport racing program, #001 survived General Motors' infamous racing ban when Duntov secretly preserved the completed cars rather than destroying them.
After helping launch the Grand Sport legacy, the car was transformed into a roadster, raced by Roger Penske in the iconic blue-and-white Sunoco livery at the 1966 12 Hours of Sebring, and went on to become one of the most celebrated Corvettes in existence.
Making this display even more extraordinary, Grand Sport Chassis #001 will be showcased alongside the 1963 Grand Sport Chassis #004 and the 1996 Grand Sport Chassis #001, bringing together three iconic chapters of Grand Sport history in one unforgettable exhibit.
If you're a Corvette enthusiast, this is a display you simply can't miss. Join us at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds as we celebrate 30 years of the Corvette Grand Sport with one of the rarest gatherings of Grand Sport history ever assembled!
