Adventure of the month? Get a call from a good friend / customer who was in a bind. Joe stores his 37' RV in a limestone mine in Cabot, Pa. Well, its time to get the Rv out of storage and it will not take fuel plus the check engine light is on. Joe had no luck finding anyone close to the mine to work on it, and towing it out is not an option as it is 37' long and you can barely get it into the cave without a tow truck hooked to it. Needless to say when I get the phone call asking if I know anything about Rv's, my answer is going to be yes because I will get to go down into a limestone mine. So we pack up the analyzer and some tools one Saturday and head to the mine. Problem one, there is no internet when you are underground and surrounded by rock walls, floor, and ceiling. So we head up the road until we get service. Once connected, we can communicate with the analyzer thru the VCI. Problem two, I do not subscribe to the Heavy Duty software, therefore, the RV identified as an F350 with the same engine size that particular day so we could get engine data. After running a couple tests, I feel pretty confident that we need a throttle body assembly. Head home and order a new throttle body assembly. The following Saturday , we headed up and changed the throttle body. Needless to say we drove it home. Thanks Joe for the adventure, I enjoyed it!!
