We have some good news and some bad news regarding the upcoming car meet season at the Aerospace Museum.
The good news is that the entire back lot is being re-paved so we will have fresh blacktop to park on for the foreseeable future. There are also some areas that will be expanded offering even more parking. Lastly, they are re-grading the entire grass lot out front so we will have a huge spectator lot as well.
Now the bad news. Unfortunately this work has to take place at some point and it has been decided it will be done as soon as the warm weather hits. What does that mean for us? It means the first meet will most likely be cancelled. Of course we are disappointed but the good we get out of it will far outweigh the bad. As for July, it is still up in the air but it is possible we will be able to proceed. We will keep everyone informed as things progress. We do plan on having at least one big meet at the end of the season. That is pretty much guaranteed. We will leave the first meet up as tentative until we get the final word to cancel it. We thank you all for your understanding and for your help in making this the best meet in our area.
