🏁 Greenville-Pickens Speedway purchase funding secured, buyer says

Tasha Porter Kummer says she has secured the remaining funding needed to purchase Greenville-Pickens Speedway and is working toward closing the sale.

In an update shared on The REAL Historic Greenville Pickens Speedway page, Kummer said she signed a purchase agreement three months ago, contributed personal funds and paid earnest money. She said the purchase remains in the due diligence stage and hopes to close soon.

Kummer is also seeking sponsors and contributions for restoration work, including materials, fencing and asphalt. Volunteer days are planned for the future.

The group’s website outlines a broader vision for the property, including racing, community events and educational opportunities.

The sale has not yet closed, according to Kummer’s update.

‼️Update : Many have asked questions and seem confused so here’s the latest information:

I, Tasha Porter Kummer signed a purchase agreement 3 months ago to purchase the track. After meetings upon meetings, I secured the rest of the funding needed , after applying some of my own (out of pocket) funding to purchase. I am invested, I have paid the earnest money and I am actively in due diligence.

Everything is going well. I hope to close soon. There will be volunteer days in the future.

I am now having meetings daily to find more sponsorships for the restoration of this iconic historic track. Many businesses are contributing but I do still need some materials , fencing, and an asphalt contribution.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out. The past few days have been incredible . So many new followers and I appreciate everyone of you!
