Hello everyone, I just wanted to clear up any rumors that are going around town about myself and Flat on the Spot.
No, I did not sell, and yes, I am still in business. If you don't already know I sold my shop due to lack of staffing back in late 2024. My mechanic/manager quit early that year and moved on to bigger and better things. Unable to find a replacement mechanic, I then decided to downsize and only operate the mobile service as I had been doing for over a decade. Operating as only a mobile service confuses Google and it shows me as permanently closed. “Technically” it’s correct, the shop location is permanently closed. I’ve been working all summer with Google trying to get them to show me as open somehow. As we all have seen and experienced, I also recently have had trouble finding/keeping good hard workers. So, I have downsized to just myself and one truck, and have started operating as a DBA, in an effort to restructure the company from a larger operation to now a smaller mobile service, as well as to make Google happy and show that I'm still in operation. Yours truly will be operating in the field and no longer will I have paid techs working on your vehicles, only myself.
