There’s something special happening on Eagle Nest Lake! 🎣

10-year-old Jason B. from Albuquerque landed this beautiful fish weighing 3.75 lbs while fishing with Grandpa Buck as his guide!
He hooked this one using a gold Panther Martin, and what a catch it was!

Granny Jo submitted Jason’s catch to the New Mexico Game & Fish website, so keep an eye out — maybe he’ll make the paper! 📰

What makes this even cooler?
Just a few weeks ago, the Kokanee record was broken right here on Eagle Nest Lake by the 81-year-old father of one of Jason’s mom’s co-workers, Bill Lewallen!

That’s what makes fishing here so incredible — young or old, beginner or seasoned, you never know when you’re about to reel in a memory… or make history.

Another solid day on Eagle Nest Lake! 🎣🔥

Tim was back at it again today putting folks on fish, and Joshua made it count with this absolute beauty — a 4¾ lb, 22-inch rainbow!

That’s the kind of fish that makes the fight worth every second and the story worth telling for years.
The bite’s been hot, the guides are dialed in, and the lake keeps showing off.

Double trouble on Eagle Nest Lake this morning! 🎣🎣
Some folks figured the weather might shut the bite down today… but it looks like the fish had other plans for Diego Trujillo’s group.

Turns out that wind and pressure may have lined up just right, because these boys doubled up on some beauties first thing this morning.
Sometimes the “less-than-perfect” days end up being the best ones on the water.

Moral of the story? Don’t let the forecast scare you off — the fish don’t always read it. 🙃

The Odell crew put in WORK yesterday!

Jayden, Kysler, and Lynx Odell didn’t let the weather run them off and it paid off big time. Conditions may have been less than ideal, but they stuck it out, stayed after it, and flat-out slayed on Eagle Nest Lake.

That tailgate tells the story… a full mess of quality fish and memories these boys won’t forget anytime soon.
That’s what it’s all about right there. 👊
