Good morning. Due to hazardous road conditions and school closures, the driver's education office will be closed today. However, driver's education classes will still be offered online through Microsoft Teams. If you wish to participate online, please click the link that will be sent approximately 30 minutes prior to your scheduled class start time. If you are unable to attend online today, we can provide a makeup day. Thank you for your understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Good morning Duvallinians!

What a winter wonderland to wake up to today!

The snow may be beautiful, but it has caused complications with our traffic lights downtown. Just a friendly reminder that RCW 46.61.184 states….

Except when directed to proceed by a flagger, police officer, or firefighter, the driver of a vehicle approaching an intersection controlled by a traffic control signal that is temporarily without power on all approaches or is not displaying any green, red, or yellow indication to the approach the vehicle is on, shall consider the intersection to be an all-way stop. After stopping, the driver shall yield the right-of-way in accordance with RCW 46.61.180(1) and 46.61.185.

So please treat traffic lights as a four way stop and try to stay home if you can to avoid the roads. Public works is working hard to make the roads safe for us all!
