McKeesport/Duquesne Bridge Project.
A major construction project has begun on the McKeesport/Duquesne Bridge and will continue through September 2028.
Bridge Closures
• The bridge will be completely closed MARCH 14 to APRIL 7, 2026
• After reopening, the bridge will carry two-way traffic, with vehicles using one side of the bridge at a time while work continues.
• Once work on one side is finished, traffic will shift to the opposite side.
• There will be no lane width restrictions for trucks during these phased traffic patterns.
• Late June 2028:
A second full bridge closure lasting approximately 100 days will be required to complete the project.
Please give extra time when traveling the marked detoured routes.
