𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: We are seeking a skilled General | Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of commercial vehicles. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to perform physical tasks associated with tire and rim changes, which includes both loaded and empty trailers.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in commercial vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Remove, repair, and replace tractor trailer tires and rims.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure vehicles are compliant with industry standards.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and address issues.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and quality service.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 125 lbs) regularly.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and squatting for extended periods.
• Use hand and power tools with precision and care.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in automotive repair is preferred.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with commercial vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license.
