UPDATE from Marti.- The water hasn't been shut off yet. They are still digging. Their plan is to dig trench and find the connection, take a lunch break and then turn the water off. We post updates as they come in.

LATEST UPDATE - THE POWER IS BACK ON !!!!!

UPDATE FROM MARTI - Update of lift station. We were working on several solutions for the lift station and with the resources available we were able to get one of them completed. Doug Jr and Doug Sr got the generator hooked-up and the lift station is working. It is important that we continute to limit our waste water. The lift station works at a lower capacity with the generator than it does with electric. I want to thank everyone that was willing to forgo a cold shower for a cold military shower and those who used their outdoor hoses. Because of the short supply of gasoline and the limited capacity of the generator it is important that we continute to conserve water. On another positive note, I have to say that the residents in Honeymoon are amazing. Today we saw numerous groups of people out helping with cleanup. Everything from parades following trucks, pulling aluminum fallen palm trees being hauled to dumpsters, golf carts loaded with fallen branches and a group sweeping and raking debris off streets and carports. They started at 1st street and are down to 8th Street as I am typing this. To the residents that had extra gas in gas cans and offered it to be used in the generator. Many are thankful for the motorhome whose owners offer a hot cup of coffee in the morning. We've seen roofing companies and contractors in the park assessing damage and preparing estimates so homeowners can begin repairing their homes.

If you are in the park and are taking and posting photos it would be helpful if you could identify with a house number and/or street. Thanks

MESSAGE FROM MARTI - "the park currently has water but NO electricity. Without electricity the lift station does not work. The lift station pumps all waste water from the park to the city sewer system. This means that toilets, sinks and tubs should be used very sparingly. The result of the use of flushing water down your toilet, sink and tubs will cause the sewer systems to overflow and possibly back up into homes. Restricting use would include not taking showers and a minimal flushing of toilets. We are currently in disaster recovery mode and we appreciate everyone's cooperations."

Heard from someone who is in the park. No power at this point, some carports down and some other wind damage, but nothing catastrophic. Will keep updating here as we get updates
