When your bell housing corrodes between the engine block-it prevents your electronics from grounding through the case and instead you start grounding through your transmission bushings! This causes micro arcs-which in turn- melt the bushing causing pitting seen in the picture!

Hi everyone! Just a heads up that we will be closed for the remainder of this week.

The Heart of the 6L80/90E- The Pressure Regulator valve (PR)

This valve controls the main pressure inside all 6L80/90's and is known for wearing due to the soft material used. This causes all sorts of issues, from torque converter shudder-to shift quality problems all the way to clutch failure.
Every rebuild at CAP's Transmissions gets an upgraded PR valve from Sonnax, as well as many other upgrades! With longer valve lands for more support, and made from a harder material, this new valve will last longer than the truck!
