Noticed your tire looking a little low? Here's the quick fix before you head to the shop:

📍 Where to look: Open your driver's side door and check the Tire and Loading Information sticker on the lower door frame (or door jamb). This sticker tells you the exact recommended PSI for your specific tires — not the number printed on the tire itself!

✅ Why correct PSI matters:
🔹 Better fuel economy — underinflated tires create more rolling resistance, which means your engine works harder (and burns more gas)
🔹 Even, longer-lasting tread wear — proper inflation keeps the tire's contact patch even across the whole tire

Checking the age of your tires is just as important as how many miles you have driven on them. Customers think just because I replaced them 6 years ago and have only driven 15K miles on them, they are still good. Think again.

Rubber Oxidation: Air and heat break down the chemical bonds, making the rubber brittle and stiff.

Reduced Traction: Hardened rubber compounds mean longer braking distances and less grip on wet roads.

Unseen Internal Damage: Steel belts and internal liners can separate from the rubber casing without showing exterior signs.

You can check the age yourself by looking for the last four digits of the DOT number. The first two numbers show the week of manufacture, and the last two show the year (e.g., 2912 - 29th week of 2012. Don't worry, these just hang out in our showroom display. 😄 )
