🚨 ANOTHER SHORT-PAY VICTORY AGAINST DONEGAL! 🚨
A Donegal-insured customer contacted us regarding their 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 with only 16,259 miles.
Donegal has staff appraisers, but for some unknown reason, on this claim they chose to hire National Appraisal Service to prepare the repair estimate.
The result?
Donegal’s estimate came in $8,367.88 SHORT of the repair facility’s final bill!
That is a substantial difference on a nearly new Mercedes-Benz.
We explained to the insured that their policy contained an appraisal clause and that they had the right to dispute the amount of the loss. The insured exercised that right and retained Collision Safety Consultants of PA to represent them.
We then negotiated the repair amount directly with Donegal’s appointed independent and disinterested appraiser.
THE RESULT:
❌ Donegal Wrote: $11,358.80
âś… Final Settlement: $16,272.88
đź’° Additional Recovery for Our Client: $4,914.08
That is $4,914.08 MORE toward properly repairing our customer’s Mercedes-Benz!
This is exactly why policyholders need to understand the appraisal clause in their insurance policy. When you disagree with the insurance company over the amount of the loss, their estimate does not necessarily have to be the final word.
WE FIGHT. WE NEGOTIATE. WE WIN.
If your insurance company is refusing to pay the full cost of properly repairing your vehicle, contact Collision Safety Consultants of PA.
