Dodge caliber came in for a “rough idle” concern.

After some testing found that their “rough idle” concern was just worn out motor mounts making the car feel like it was idling rough. It had 1 motor mount replaced already so we ended up doing the other 3 since they were definitely showing their age. While I had it I also cleaned the throttle body, performed an idle relearn and make sure everything looked good with the scan tool!

Customer drove it home and then texted me to let me know that he was very pleased with his car and the work that was done!! Another happy customer

Honda odyssey came in to have the charging system diagnosed. The dash was lighting up like a Christmas tree, battery was dead, typical symptoms of a failed alternator. But check out the voltage on this one!

Old battery was completely shot (Dec 2018 battery), so after replacing the battery, I retested the charging system and saw the highest system voltage I’ve ever seen! It went over 19 volts if you let it run! Replaced the alternator and system voltage was around 14.3 with a load , which is much better!

After finishing it all up, took it on a final road test. Soon as I pull out of the driveway I noticed the steering wheel shake… yep separated tire. After telling the customer she informed me that it’s been to the shop 3 times for that shake and they couldn’t figure it out….. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’ll never understand how these garages stay in business… so I put the tire on the rear for now to make it safer to drive until she can get tires replaced!

Needless to say they were very happy with the work done and I probably gained another customer for life.

Finished up this big job recently as well, 2013 f150 with the typical 3.5 ecoboost rattle on start up. Almost 250k miles on this truck. New chains, phasers, guides, water pumps and all the goodies to go along with it. Also gave the truck a once over and fixed a leaking turbo coolant line fitting. This truck is back on the road without all the rattles this time 👍🏼

Been a while since I updated. Had a simple a/c job the other week. Subaru crosstrek came in to have the ac fixed. Found the system was empty due to a blown oring at the compressor. Super easy fix. Charged it back up and this Subaru was back to having ice cold ac again!

2011 Ram 2500 in for state inspection and some maintenance. Needed a few things to pass inspection, few more things that I noticed as well as couple maintenance items!

-Front rotors (pitted and causing brake squeal)
-Rear pads (old ones seized in the mount and pads were separating)
-Both park brake cables (swollen and sticking)
-Air filter, fuel filter and oil change

I also inspected and checked over this nice ladies horse trailer which just needed some bearings packed and a fresh sticker this time around!!

Forgot to post this one and didn’t take as many pics. Buuuut. 2016 jeep compass. Customer complaint: steering wheel shakes at times and sounds like I’m off road.

Left front brakes were hanging up and getting super hot! New pads and rotors along with caliper and hose on the left front got this jeep fixed up and driving like it should again! Also performed oil change and general check over while it was in the shop.

2016 Honda Pilot came in today for oil change and replace left front headlight bulb.

Inspection is due in October so while I had it in I checked it over that way I can give the customer a heads up as to what they will need before inspection. Completed the oil change and bulb replacement, but I couldn’t stop there….

This is a great customer of mine, very nice people. So after seeing the condition of their hood I took a handful of minutes and did a real quick paint correction on the hood. I also hit the headlights while I was at it to clear them up a bit. Completely changed the look of this Honda and brought new life back into the hood! Not too bad for about 20 mins worth of work!

This morning I finished up the airbags on this 05 dodge 3500. Installed the Firestone airbag helper springs with compressor to help this dodge haul the heavy loads that it does. Also replace both rear shocks. Super happy with how this one turned out!
