☕️Good Morning!☕️

🌧 The remnants of Ida will track up the Gulf of Maine today, bringing rain to the entire forecast area. Heavy rain will spread throughout the Downeast region, with heaviest amounts along the immediate coast. Remember: Turn Around, Don't Drown, and don't drive through flooded roadways. Heavy rain will gradually diminish this afternoon, with scattered showers expected overnight tonight. High temperatures today will be on the cool side with highs in the lower 60s. Lows tonight will fall into the lower 50s.

🍂 Much cooler weather and breezy winds are in store for tomorrow behind the low pressure, with high temperatures in the mid-50s across the north and lower 60s Downeast. Lingering showers will remain across the north through the day tomorrow and taper off late tomorrow night.

Good Morning,

*Post Valid Through 5pm Today*

Today's Weather Story. Rain will come to an end this morning becoming Partly Sunny this afternoon. A slight chance of showers will develop across the north as a weak front pushes south.

Tomorrow will feature showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon especially in the Moosehead Lake region. Storms will be slow-moving posing the threat for Heavy Rainfall. Please remember to stay alert to rapidly changing conditions and remember if you approach flooded roads to Turn Around, Don't Drown.

Our attention then turns to Tropical Storm Henri and what will happen across Eastern / Northern Maine by late Sun Night into Tuesday. Right now Henri is forecast to arrive into Southern New England as a Category 1 Hurricane. This is expected to be the first Hurricane to make landfall in New England since Hurricane Bob (Aug 19th, 1991) 30 years ago. Impacts here in Eastern/Northern Maine are dependent on the exact track and how much the storm weakens over Southern New England. At this point there is still a lot of uncertainty so we cannot get into specific just yet. Please stay up to date with us for the latest. What is certain is much higher swells developing over the coastal waters Sunday that will become dangerous for small craft and beach-goers. Higher surf combined with high astronomical high tides Sun night into Mon night may pose a Coastal Flooding concern in addition to serious rip current concern.
