Thank you to HAWS for this great spotlight post!
HAWS would like to spotlight G-Brock's Auto Repair as an Unconditional Love Sponsor for Happy Tails!
"I'm a dog person more than anything, but I do love how HAWS doesn't seem to turn much of anything away. Animals are a great gift to us as humans and they can all be appreciated in their own way, even if you're not a "fan" of that particular animal. Whether it's dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, rodents, or horses, that creature means something to someone. Why are dogs so special to me and why do I love coming in and walking dogs every week?
They're there.
They're there to greet you with barks and tail wags every day. Did you have a bad day? They're there. Did you have the best day ever? They're there. Did you have a fight with your significant other? They're there. Did you just get that big promotion and want to celebrate? They're there. Did you lose a loved one and you need to grieve? They're there.
They're there for you no matter what you're going through. No matter how many times you're frustrated about what they got in to. No matter how many times you could have given them more attention, but didn't. No matter how many times you decided on the short walk instead of the long walk. No matter how many mistakes you've made. No matter what, they're there.
Even the dogs that wait for us in the kennels every day to take them for a walk, or just sit with them, they're there enthusiastically greeting us as we come up to their kennel. They're there waiting to be adopted by a loving family. They're there trying to be the best they can be in a situation they didn't ask to be in.
They build a bond that's so strong that you can't ever imagine life without them. When that fateful day comes, and it's time to say goodbye. You can say, "There there, I'm here." And you're there for that moment when they need you the most. That moment that shows just how much "They're there" really meant to you.I don't know if any of these dogs or animals need me, but I sure do need them. That's why I volunteer and support HAWS. Because the animals do need HAWS. Because They're there. Every day."
