4WD Fiberglass Check out our photo albums to see whats been happening at the workshop! And feel free to leave a message. are all no problem.

Since 1992 4WD Fiberglass has been producing 4WD replacement panel production. We have hundreds and hundreds of molds stored in our production facility. This ensures a quick turn-around of our most often requested parts. Should you require something we don't have- we can make it for you. Custom hard tops, bobtail, wagon to cab conversion panels, flares, wide guards etc. We also produce entire vehicle tubs and can reproduce many desirable vehicle bodies ENTIRELY from fiberglass. Our customers call us for many reasons. Often they need a part which is no longer produced, sometimes they want the lighter weight and durability of a fiberglass panel rather than the bulky, heavy, steel original and sometimes they need a replacement part which is different to the original. Additionally, all customers can be assured that their new parts will not rust like standard light gauge steel pieces AND they will absorb and deflect impacts which would leave the same steel piece more work to repair.

An update on jobs in the workshop in New Zealand. While waiting for materials to be delivered, we resumed work on making the roof bracing molds for the Defender 110 roof, the Jeep CJ windshield visor and widened fender molds for Dom’s JK project.

We have been busy painting & fitting fibreglass rooftops for our customer Andy.

With a little help from master fibreglasser Stevie Jayne Whitton , these trusty Toyata vans are being converted into EPIC Campers NZ.

Give them a follow and hit them up if you ever want to travel around the country in cosy comfort!

Another month (February into March) goes by and 3 jobs are in production. A lay up of 6 sample styles of corrugated roofing, another Suzuki LJ50 grill mold, with one grill couriered to Michigan and the other to Australia. And finally, the Jeep FSJ narrow track fender molds are made, waxed and part way into production. The Landcruiser FJ40 high fender one piece front end is loaded into a custom crate for shipping to Boise, Idaho. Oh and the new Suzuki LJ50 grill was made because I could not find the original mold made yonks ago. I was quite pleased with the grill mold. Reckoned it turned out hunky-dory.

A few months have past since my last post from the workshop.
Good progress is being made on the Jeep FSJ (full size Jeep - old school Wagoneer) narrow track front fender molds. The longest bit was hammer and dolly work to remove a numberbof small dings.
I pulled the Landcruiser FJ40 nose cut plug from long time storage, to finally make the mold. It’s a 3 stage mold.
Other pics are Landcruiser FJ40 panels awaiting shipping. I also flopped a mold to make corrugated roofing. I am wanting to build a covered shelter along the front of the workshop. I need light but not a blazing summer sun. The fibreglass roof will allow sanding, cutting, etc under cover during monsoon rains and blazing hot summer sun, diffused lighting, disperse high summer temperatures, light weight, durable and long lasting under the hash Arizona desert sun.

Been a bit slow loading some of the jobs completed at 4WD Fibreglass. They included a bunch of windshield visors for old school full size Jeeps, couriered to BJ’s Off Road, and an extended (10”) Jeep CJ8 (Scrambler) half cab roof and Jeep CJ front clip delivered to The Jeep Farm in Phoenix.

A flashback 11 years ago working on the Land Rover Series 1 chassis rear axle fabrication. Yeah, and it's a job still in progress on the trips back to New Zealand from Arizona - when I'm not busy with priority customer orders.
