At last week’s Minnesota County Engineers Association conference, MCEA’s Project of the Year Award was presented for Steele County’s County State Aid Highway 49 reconstruction project. In addition to all the county staff involved with the project, I want to acknowledge and thank you all for your assistance with this project: Mark and WSB for the geotechnical report and pavement design, Brian and JHS for the drainage engineering, Scott and JHS for the right of way platting, Doug for the right of way appraisals, Jim for the assistance with the right of way acquisition, Brady, Reese and ISG for the construction inspection and support, and Ims Contracting for the construction. Thank you all for your support and for helping make this a successful project
