We also wanted to take this opportunity to share a quick PSA for other business owners.
We recently received a 1-star Google review from someone named "Fake Fake" we cannot identify as an actual customer. There was no written feedback, no details about an experience, and we have been unable to match the reviewer to any customer interaction. In other words, it appears to be a review that was left without an actual customer experience behind it.
Unfortunately, Google has not removed it, despite our concerns.
We know how much a single review can impact a small business, especially when you work hard every day to maintain a 5-star reputation. So if you own a business, keep an eye on your reviews, document your customer interactions, and don't be afraid to challenge reviews that you genuinely believe are not legitimate.
