A little about my driving school - I have been instructing students for 26 years. Roughly over 3,400 students have gone through my school over the years. I have a very high success rate of students passing the state road exam on their first try. We do the three in person classes at Tri County in Dexter, then usually do the driving from the school they attend, depending on where it is. What sets us apart from other Driving Schools is we do only one on one in car driving, no other students in the vehicle. This allows them a chance to learn without the added stress of someone else in the car. I also take the time to make sure they know how to control their vehicle and do proper turns, lane changes, speed control, etc. Driving from point A to point B is not enough, we do a lot of in town driving where all the action is. So ask around before deciding who should instruct your child, you might be surprised on what you hear.

Hello, thank you for looking at our Mountain's Driving School page. Please allow me to share some of our background with you. I started the class at Dexter High School in August of 1999, we then moved to Houlton in the spring of 2001 and continued building the business.
Last summer my wife's dad passed away {Don Bailey} and we sold our home and moved back down to Cambridge where our family is. I started teaching classes again at Tri County out of the Law Enforcement bulding.
I have been teaching Driver Education for 23 years and have a high success rate of students passing. I teach my students how to be a defensive driver and be on the lookout for the less cautious driver. I try to work around the students schedules as much as I possibly can. Please feel free to pass our name and number (277-3224) around if you know of someone who can benefit from this course, we don't just drive around we actually learn how to drive. Thank you!

I am truly touched by all the nice comments and well wishes. It has been an honor to have been a part of your sons and daughters learning. It never failed to amaze me to how it made me feel when a former student approached me and shared a story of driving and how they were doing now. This town, this community embraced us from the beginning and we were and are truly blessed. Thank you each and every one of you for your kindness and support. You will be missed.

It is with very mixed emotions that I announce that June will be our last class here in Houlton. We put our home on the market and to much of our surprise we have accepted an offer and will be moving at the end of June. This happened much faster than expected, but the timing is right.
We have lost family members over the past few years and time is so short. So we decided to move back to where we started from so we can be closer to family. I am sure there will be some that are upset that we are leaving and could not get into a class, for that I am sorry. I can only do so many at a time and I really hope that a driving school comes to Houlton. As of right now the nearest ones are Presque Isle and Bangor.
