Little 230 straight 6, hiding under a bench for over 30 years

This little 230 cid straight 6 from the early 70’s had been sitting under a bench for over 30 years. Well it’s been dusted off, fixed a couple things and although it had 2 weak cylinders, the more I run it the better it’s coming along.
May not win races with it right now but it’s pretty smooth considering its story. I’m trying to post the pictures at same time but may have to make a separate post

What works for one person may not work for someone else, one of the greatest benefits of owning an engine dyno is the ability to help your friends out doing some legit R&D for new products and concepts. Any Dyno owner will tell you, it doesn’t so much matter as to what the number is as it does knowing where you started and where you finished.
Joe Bass took some vacation time and decided he would enjoy himself running his Pump Gas NA Pontiac 535 RamAir V on our Engine Dyno for a couple of Days. Thank you Joe for letting us make some changes to see what works and what doesn’t. We learned a lot and compared to where he was last and this time…….that’s awesome.
Great way to spend a Vacation I think!
I won’t give away his final numbers because honestly we haven’t reached them yet, but they’re very impressive!!!!!

Sometimes it’s not always about getting the highest HP numbers on the Dyno ( who am I kidding ) but drivability is also a key factor.
This one of a kind build came to us from Rutland VT today, Jeff and his wife made the trip over and entrusted us to make the necessary changes to Fitech System and now it’s a lot of fun to drive and yes it still hit a new Personal best for HP too lol
