¡¡STORY TIME!! 2010 Ford Escape (v6)

Customer kept getting a CEL for EGR Valve. Brought it to Firestone. 🙅🏾‍♂️Firestone replaces the Egr valve. Miles down the Road, code comes back. Customer then takes the vehicle to the Ford dealership, dealership "diagnoses" the car and replaces the EGR valve again with ford oem part (motorcraft). STILL NOT FIXED 🤦🏾‍♂️ Customer returns to the dealership for further diagnostics and they determined that the ECU needed to be replaced. After thousands of dollars of work and diagnostics and now an EVAP issue, customer calls me to get Valve cover gaskets replaced, and to look into this issue for her because not even ford could figure it out and she is already thousands deep. I begin removing the valve covers and pop out the egr tube (this bolts directly to the egr valve) only to find it 100 percent plugged with carbon. I cleaned out the carbon buildup with a torch and some cleaner, replaced the secondary EGR pipe, finished the valve cover gasket job and BOOM. Problem solved. To this day that code is still gone. Find a mechanic that cares enough to dig all the way into an issue and not screw you out of thousands! This instance was inexcusable and these techs should be ashamed of themselves.

Jaguar X type ac compressor seized up and slung the belt resulting in cut wires on the crankshaft position sensor harness, and one camshaft position sensor harness. Spliced in 2 new connectors and installed a brand new belt and compressor!
