Swipe through this one 😳

I’ve never seen a nearly new spark plug do this.


Instead of backing out normally, the threaded shell stayed in the head… and the top separated.

No stripped cylinder.
No cross-threading.
Just the shell bonding itself in place and deciding it wasn’t coming out with the rest of the plug.

Luckily we had the right extractor and a steady hand.
Could’ve gone way worse.

For anyone wondering — this usually happens from heat cycling + over-torque + carbon bonding the shell to the head. When you go to remove it, the crimp between the shell and the core gives up first.

❄️ Detroit winter showed up heavy…
but we’re back, shoveled out, and open 😎

Sidewalks are clear, the path’s open, and the shop is warm. If you’ve been meaning to stop by, this is honestly one of the best times — quieter days, good conversations, and some solid off-season / winter deals happening while things slow down a bit.

Cold outside, good energy inside.

It was -8° when I got here this morning (yeah… negative eight), but the snow’s shoveled, the shop is clean, dry, and warm, and the roads are actually clear and dry.

Because of this “discounted weather,” we’re running DOUBLE DISCOUNTS today 👀👇
• 16% off ALL retail — tires, pipes, helmets, apparel, accessories

A lot of what’s here is still priced at pre-tariff / pre-restock numbers, so this is one of those sneaky-good winter opportunities.

You don’t even have to take a bike home today — you can put a deposit or partial payment on anything electric or gas, vintage or modern. are looking great as always, and if you’re bundled up enough, test rides are totally doable. I actually love shoveling snow.
Every winter it’s my weird little pre-shop ritual — clear the sidewalk, stack the snowbanks, get my head right before opening ❄️💪

And yes… every year I make the same joke that I’m building snowboard hills for our buddy 🏂😂
But for real — huge congrats to Jake on qualifying again. Watching him represent and in snowboard cross is insanely cool, especially with the Winter Olympics coming up 🇺🇸❄️

Shop’s shoveled, sidewalks are clean, roads are dry, sun’s out — and since it was -8° when I got here, we decided to lean fully into the “discounted weather” theme today:
