We convert the motorcycle you love to battery electric with a bolt-in Multi-Fit system, built in Detroit or at a partner shop. The engine and fuel system come out, the adapter bolts in where the engine sat, and the battery, controller and motor go in around it. The frame stays as it was built.

Over the next few weeks we'll walk through our four platforms: the Custom Chopper, the Yamaha XS400, the Kawasaki Ninja 250 and the Yamaha Virago.

Getting your kids an e-bike? Give them the gift of knowledge to go with it.

Before the kids ride, it helps if someone in the house knows how the thing works: the battery, the controller, the motor, and which class of e-bike it is. Our e-bike technician course starts there, and parents are welcome to take it first.

It's free during the beta for anyone 16 or older, and it's about 13 hours of reading plus 15-20 hours of bench work, at your own pace. Beta sign-ups close 15 October.
