What a day! 🎉

We’re proud to celebrate a successful 5th Annual Manufacturing Day at LM Manufacturing! A huge thank you to the hundreds of Detroit Public Schools Community District students who joined us, and to the incredible educators who made it possible for them to experience manufacturing, skilled trades, STEM and STEAM careers firsthand.

To our amazing vendors and community partners, thank you for showing up and helping make this day such a meaningful experience for the next generation. And to our incredible LM Manufacturing staff thank you for the time, energy and passion you poured into making today a success.

We’re proud to open our doors, share our industry and invest in Detroit’s future.

Did you catch our CEO, Sylvester Hester, on the news today? 👀

Sylvester joined Local 4 News Detroit to spotlight the 5th Annual Manufacturing Day at LM Manufacturing, where we’re preparing to welcome 400+ DPSCD students to our Southwest Detroit facility.

Manufacturing Day is about opening doors literally and figuratively to show Detroit students what’s possible in modern manufacturing and the many career pathways connected to it.

Through hands-on experiences, industry exposure and opportunities to connect with professionals, our goal is to help students see that careers in skilled trades, STEM, STEAM and advanced manufacturing can be pathways to meaningful, sustainable careers right here in Detroit.

This work builds on LM Manufacturing’s ongoing commitment to developing Detroit’s talent pipeline through initiatives like our Expose 2 Inspire program, which connects students with manufacturing experiences, job shadows, internships and career opportunities.

We’re proud to welcome the next generation through our doors and even more excited about what they’ll build once they leave them.
