Yesterday we told you what a skipped oil change can turn into. Today, the easy part. 🔧

Fresh oil keeps your engine clean, cool, and running the way it should.

We asked Jesus, one of our technicians, about the most expensive fix he sees come through the shop.

His answer doesn't start with a big breakdown. It starts with something small that gets pushed off one too many times. 🔧

Give it 12 seconds and hear it straight from the guy who works on these cars every day.

The way to avoid it takes a lot less time than the fix. Book your appointment at www.truetechauto.com

Found us on Google? Here's what's happening behind the listing. 🔧

A shimmy in the steering wheel at highway speed is usually a wheel that's out of balance. Our techs put it on the balancer, read exactly where the weight is off, and correct it so your ride feels smooth again. Balanced tires also wear more evenly, so they last longer.

227 Google reviews from our Des Plaines neighbors, and we're still earning the next one.

When you call TrueTech, you don't reach a call center or a corporate office. You reach the shop.

We've been locally owned in Des Plaines since 2007. The decisions about your car get made right here, by people who answer to you and not to a home office.

Thank you for keeping it local, Des Plaines.

Amy called us educational, and that one means a lot.

Nobody should drive away from a repair shop unsure of what was done or why. So we take the time to explain what we found, what needs attention now, and what can wait. It's how we've earned customers who stay with us for years.

Thank you, Amy, for the kind words and for trusting us with your car.

Tip of the week, fleet edition: Your work truck doesn't check the calendar. It counts miles.

Tell us roughly how many miles a week your vehicle runs and we'll build a service schedule around it. One truck or five.

Search "auto repair Chicago suburbs" and you get a long list of names. What you don't get is any idea who will actually be working on your car.

So we put our shop on camera. Here's what you'll find when you pull in at TrueTech, where we've been locally owned in Des Plaines since 2007.

When your car needs attention, book at www.truetechauto.com or call 847-299-8783.
