A little Nissan history on display at our New Car Show. 🇺🇸

Here are 10 milestones that helped shape Nissan’s journey in the U.S.:

1958–1959: Nissan’s first Datsun models arrive in the U.S. and make their debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
1965: The Datsun 320 Truck is introduced.
1968: The Datsun 510 Sedan launches as the first car styled specifically for the U.S. market.
1979: Nissan Design America is established in La Jolla, California, bringing American concepts and style to Nissan vehicles.
1983: Nissan opens its assembly plant in Smyrna, Tennessee.
1985: The first Sentra is built in America.
1993: The first U.S.-assembled Altima rolls off the line.
1999: The Frontier Crew Cab is introduced.
2009: The Nissan GT-R makes its American debut.
2010: The Nissan LEAF launches, marking a major step into mass-market electrification.

Pretty cool to see how much Nissan’s U.S. presence has evolved over the years!
