Yellow/Orange Lights (Check Engine, Tire Pressure): These are warnings. Your car is telling you that something is operating outside its normal parameters. You don’t need to pull over immediately on the highway, but you should schedule an appointment as soon as you can.

Red Lights (Oil Pressure, Engine Temperature, Brakes): This is an emergency. If a red light flashes or stays on, pull over safely as soon as possible and turn off the engine.
