The 2017 Chevrolet Impala offers an impressive combination of spaciousness, comfort and value for families and individuals seeking a full-size sedan. Substantial yet stylish, the Impala still looks fresh from a recent revamp that transformed Chevy's biggest sedan from staid to standout. While demand for full-size sedans is declining, the Impala remains relevant thanks to modern safety and tech features, a choice of 4- or 6-cylinder engines, and the largest trunk in its class. Starting around $28,000, the Impala buys a lot of car for the money, though unlike the Toyota Avalon, Kia Cadenza and Dodge Charger, a V6 is extra. Still, the Impala has impressed us enough to win the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy award for its class two years in a row.

You'll Like This Car If...
If you want a large, comfortable sedan that boasts style and substance all at a good value, the 2017 Impala fits the bill. While the Impala nameplate dates to the 1950s, this big Chevy sedan has modern features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone compatibility, in-car Wi-Fi and safety aids.

What's New for 2017
Few changes are in store for the 2017 Chevrolet Impala, and one mostly unknown version is exiting: The bi-fuel Chevy Impala that could run on both gasoline and compressed natural gas (CNG) is no longer offered.

Driving It
Driving Impressions
One of the best traits about the 2017 Chevy Impala is its comfortable and quiet ride. This is a superb choice if you want a big sedan that prioritizes wafting over lanes vs. shrieking around corners. Our engine of choice is the optional 3.6-liter V6, which pairs the Impala's stately ride with effortless acceleration and passing power. For roughly $1,100 more, it's a good value and still attains respectable fuel economy -- up to 28 mpg. The standard 2.5-liter is adequate in terms of power and is rated up to 30 mpg. Note that it has an auto start/stop feature that switches off the engine at stoplights; it's pretty smooth, but we'd like the option to disable it. Whichever powerplant you choose, it's paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission that goes about its business much like the Impala itself -- with quietness and confidence.

Favorite Features
CARPLAY & ANDROID AUTO INTEGRATION
More and more cars are on the leading edge of adopting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and the 2017 Impala is one of them. So whether you have an iPhone or an Android-based phone, it will play nice.

ACTIVE SAFETY FEATURES
The least-impactful accident is the one avoided altogether, and this full-size Chevy sedan offers features to help do just that. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning and forward-collision alert are included in the Driver Confidence Package. For $595 on LT trims, it's a deal. On Premier models, it's standard.
Vehicle Details

Interior
The rebirth of Chevy's biggest sedan brought with it a roomy interior that's even more appreciated than its sharp suit. This is most true in mid-level LT and top-line Premier trims, the latter with perforated leather seating (base models have premium cloth, mid-grade mixes cloth and Leatherette). This 5-passenger sedan has generous legroom even for rear-seat passengers. And Chevy deserves kudos for its supportive front seats and easy-to-reach buttons and k***s to control audio and climate functions, in addition to the 8-inch touch-screen display found in LT and Premier grades. At 18.8 cubic feet, the 2017 Impala's trunk is huge.

Exterior
No longer a wallflower sitting on rental lots, this latest-generation Impala full-size sedan is striking. Its taut sheet metal hides its 201.3-inch length well without looking over-the-top. Even the grille -- an element that gapes on many other cars -- is well-proportioned. The long and powerful hood leads into a nicely swept windshield and sweptback roof, while the sides gently flex with creases running just below the windows. The trunklid appears short but hides plenty of space inside. Wheel sizes range from 18 inches on base LS and mid-trim LT models, while Premier Impalas ride on 19-inchers, with 20s optional.

Notable Standard Equipment
The least expensive Chevy Impala, the LS, includes 8-way-power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry and 6-speaker AM/FM audio system with USB input, Bluetooth streaming and auxiliary input. Like all GM vehicles, the Impala is equipped with a subscription-based OnStar 4G LTE connectivity and built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. For about $2,000 more, we recommend the mid-grade LT trim, which includes dual-zone climate control, 8-inch touch-screen display with Chevrolet MyLink Radio with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, upgraded seat material and additional USB inputs. Safety features include 10 airbags, stability/traction-control systems, and OnStar emergency assist. New Impalas include two years/24,000 miles (two visits) of complimentary maintenance.

Notable Optional Equipment
The top-line Impala Premier model comes loaded with features that are optional on other trims, including the V6 engine, leather interior, the suite of active safety features such as blind-spot monitoring, rearview camera, power-adjustable passenger seat, heated front seats, push-button start, and rear park assist. Other options include radar-based cruise control, navigation system, driver memory seat, ventilated front seats, 11-speaker Bose audio system, sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and remote garage-door opener. The Impala also offers a wireless charging system for select devices. The Midnight Edition Appearance package returns with 19-inch wheels, black bow-tie badge, blacked-out grille, rear spoiler and other accents.

Under the Hood
Two engines are available in the 2017 Chevy Impala. Standard on base LS and mid-grade LT trims is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder, while the more recommendable 3.6-liter V6 is optional on those trims and standard on the 2017 Impala Premier model. The 4-cylinder engine is the fuel-saver, featuring a start/stop system that turn offs the engine at idle. The V6, on the other hand, boasts 305 horsepower and makes the Impala feel swifter. Both engines are connected to 6-speed automatic transmissions, and all Impalas are front-wheel drive. The bi-fuel Impala model that could run on either gasoline or compressed natural gas (CNG) has been discontinued. As with other 2017 cars, the Impala's fuel economy ratings are slightly lower this year due to a change in EPA testing.

Driving Impressions
The attention-grabber of the 2016 Challenger line is the SRT Hellcat and its 707-horsepower supercharged V8 engine, but all versions are good-driving cars. The two non-supercharged Hemi V8s are as strong as anyone could reasonably want, but the 707-horsepower SRT Hellcat is beyond verbal description, with acceleration that is essentially impossible to experience on a public road. To cope with the Hellcatโ€™s power the suspension has been firmed up, but itโ€™s no stiffer than, say, a Corvette. At steady cruising speeds engine noise is subdued, with the supercharger whine noticeable only as revs rise. Put the Hellcat and non-supercharged SRT Challengers into Track mode, and you get sharper throttle response, harder upshifts from the automatic transmission and a firming up of the shock absorbers. Then hang on.

Favorite Features
707-HORSEPOWER HELLCAT
How could this not be a favorite feature? No Chevy Camaro or Ford Mustang ever cranked out 707 horsepower. If thatโ€™s too much, instead of the red key fob use the black one, which dials it back to a โ€œmereโ€ 500 horsepower. A Valet mode knocks it back even more.

NICE INTERIOR
A stylish instrumental panel has all the important functional and informational stuff angled at the driver. The front seats are comfortable, and adults can, indeed, sit in the back seat and everything looks terrific and operates well. A nice place for a drive.

Vehicle Details
Interior
Inside, the new Dodge Challenger is pleasant, comfortable and functional. In the center of the instrument panel is the touch screen that we've liked in other Dodge and Chrysler vehicles. The retro-style gauges for tach and speedometer look fantastic, and there's a sharp-display TFT screen nestled between the two. There's plenty of room in front for driver and front-seat passenger, and the rear seat can accommodate three people (although they might be snug), making the Challenger the only muscle car deserving of that claim. Even the trunk is surprisingly large and useful, despite a pretty high liftover.

Exterior
The no-nonsense look of the 2016 Challenger links to the past and the muscle-car era, yet with a modern, sleeker twist. But no doubt; thereโ€™s an unmistakable family link to the Challengers that scorched boulevards, highways and racetracks back in the day. The long-hood, short-deck delivers a classic proportion, the rake is just right and SRT models get a cold-air intake on the hood. You can even get it in some of the colors of back in the day, as well, except, back in that earlier day, the cars were never, not ever, this good.

Notable Standard Equipment
The 2016 Dodge Challenger base SXT model has a V6 engine, Uconnect infotainment with a 5.0-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, a USB and auxiliary input, six speakers, 6-way-power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift k**b, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start (with automatic transmission) and a host of additional convenience and trim features. Since there are 10 different trim levels, there are really 10 different lists for โ€œstandard equipment,โ€ and the higher-up models are quite generously appointed.

Notable Optional Equipment
Most of the 2016 Challengerโ€™s options are grouped either by the 10 trim levels or into the 13 packages. One significant stand-alone option is the Uconnect 8.4AN, with an 8.4-inch touch screen, navigation, AM/FM/HD radio, SiriusXM radio, Bluetooth, Uconnect Access, SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link and Uconnect apps; this is one all-inclusive feature we heartily recommend you consider. Other options include the R/T Classic Package, Technology Group, three Sound Groups, a Super Sport Group, a Super Track Pak Group and the S**t Pack Appearance Group, complete with Bumble Bee rear stripes. Who can forget those?

Under the Hood
Standard on 2016 Challenger SXT models is the 3.6-liter V6, making 305 horsepower. Next up is the 5.7-liter Hemi in R/T models, which makes 375 horsepower with a 6-speed manual transmission or 372 with the 8-speed automatic. The 392 Hemi S**t Pack and Challenger SRT 392 share the same 485-horsepower 6.4-liter V8. Then there's the SRT Hellcat, with its supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 putting out 707 horsepower; if you want horsepower bragging rights in any crowd, and particularly under $100 grand, nothing beats the Hellcat. Available with all V8 engines is a 6-speed manual gearbox, which will be a favorite with 3-pedal drivers, but the 8-speed automatic is a quick-shifting delight that doesn't shortchange on performance.

The Ford F150 is the bestselling pickup truck (and vehicle, for that matter) in the country, but when you combine the sales of the Chevrolet Silverado with the nearly-identical GMC Sierra, it's a different story. The General Motors pickups outsell the Ford handily and also outsell all the import-label pickup trucks combined. This means GM has a lot riding on its all-new Chevrolet Silverado, because this truck will be its standard-bearer for years to come. With that in mind, GM engineers and designers have made a veritable shipload of changes to the pickup, including an improved chassis, more precise steering and a quieter, more upscale interior offering two completely different looks. Meanwhile, the Silverado offers segment-leading fuel economy thanks to the new line of Active Fuel Management-equipped V8 engines.

You'll Like This Pickup If...
If you want to tailor your pickup truck to your exact requirements, the Chevrolet Silverado enables you to do just that with a wide variety of configurations, bed lengths and trim levels. The Silverado's V8 engine lineup offers Active Fuel Management technology and Flex-Fuel E85 capability.

What's New for 2007
The Silverado has been completely re-designed and re-engineered for the 2007 model year. While the old model was a bestseller, the new one is better than the previous version.

Driving It
Driving Impressions
Because it rides on the new GM full-size truck platform, the Chevrolet Silverado offers a markedly better ride-and-handling combination than its predecessor. The new platform includes a fully boxed frame (for more chassis stiffness), coil-over-shock front suspension and rack-and-pinion steering, and the result is a surprisingly maneuverable and comfortable vehicle. Our lengthy test drive took us over rough, washboard gravel roads, yet the Silverado's cabin remained quiet and composed. We found it hard to choose between the "pure pickup" interior and the "luxury-inspired" interior, because both were handsome and functional. While the available 4.3-liter V6 could probably get most jobs done, the Silverado can also be equipped with a variety of V8 engines, most with 5.3-liter displacement. For those who'd like to tow their houses behind their trucks a 6.0-liter 367-horsepower aluminum block V8 is available as well. Power delivery with each V8 engine we tested was more than ample, and we were impressed with the smooth delivery of power through the electronically-controlled Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Chevrolet has made its StabiliTrak electronic stability control system standard on crew cab models, and it is available on extended cab models as an option.

Favorite Features
Big k***s
In a welcome bow to those who work hard to earn their keep - and who live in frigid climes - the Silverado has k***s, switches and door handles that can be easily operated while wearing gloves.

Active Fuel Management
The Active Fuel Management system available in four different V8s cuts the operation of four cylinders when they are unneeded and enhances fuel economy.

Vehicle Details
Interior
Because the Silverado was part of an extensive reworking of both full-size pickups and full-size SUVs, it features two distinct interiors. The WT and LT trim levels feature the "pure pickup" interior that features larger controls and a double glovebox, while the LTZ trim level features the same "luxury-inspired" interior that is also used in Chevrolet's LTZ-trim full-size sport utilities, Tahoe and Suburban. Both instrument panels are mounted lower and farther forward for an increased feeling of spaciousness and visibility. And both interior designs are attractive but, as you might guess, the up-level LTZ will be a hit with the suburban set, while others might favor the more functional traditional truck treatment. One area that everyone will agree on is the back-seat area in the crew cab models, which offers significantly improved room and comfort. The stadium-style rear seat has a 60/40-split design and folding center armrest. It can be easily folded up with one hand to provide an uninterrupted load floor. Cloth seats are standard on WT and LT models; leather seating is available on LT models along with a six-way, power-adjustable driver's seat. A lockable storage bin is built into a new 40/20/40-split bench front seat. The bin can accommodate a laptop computer and features a 12-volt power outlet.

Exterior
Pure pickup - that's how GM designers describe the exterior of the new Silverado. With the widest track in the segment, the Silverado is substantial but it eschews the bulbous but juvenile muscularity of some of its competitors. Instead, it looks tailored and subdued front to rear. Highlights include narrow gaps between body panels, enabled by the new version's significantly stiffer frame that limits body flex. The new horizontal grille is divided by a thick bright metal bar that flanks a bold Chevrolet "bow tie" symbol. Designers also took special pains to integrate the pickup box while at the same time making it taller. Efforts were also made to limit the typically big gaps between tires and fenders in order to give the truck a more refined appearance without sacrificing utility. Standard wheels are 17 inches in diameter, while 18- and 20-inch wheels are also available. Entry to the rear seat/storage area of extended cab models is eased with new rear access doors that open 170 degrees, and power-operated rear side windows lower completely into the access doors.

Notable Standard Equipment
The Silverado comes in four trim levels - WT (work truck), 1LT, 2LT and LTZ - and that means the vehicle can be configured to meet what's envisioned for it from strictly commercial use to luxurious personal use. The base WT trim level includes a four-speed automatic transmission, tire pressure monitoring system, power rack-and-pinion steering, anti-lock brakes (ABS), air conditioning, tinted glass, full instrumentation and two auxiliary power outlets. The 1LT adds cruise control, compass and temperature-display rearview mirror, power windows, door locks and mirrors, remote keyless entry and CD/MP3 player audio system. Opting for the 2LT level nets you the 5.3L V8 engine with Active Fuel Management, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, six-way power front bucket seats, 17-inch custom aluminum wheels and steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls. The high-luxe LTZ brings with it niceties like 12-way power heated front bucket seats, leather-appointed seats front and rear, premium instrument panel, power-folding power-adjustable heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, MP3-compatible six-disc CD changer with auxiliary input jack and Bose premium speaker system, rear audio system controls, remote starting system and heated washer fluid system.

Notable Optional Equipment
The multiple trim levels should allow you to fine-tune your choice based on the equipment level you want, but the Silverado can also be optioned in several ways. It offers a dazzling array of five suspension systems, each tailored to suit specific driving requirements. They include Z83 for a solid, smooth ride, Z85 for enhanced handling and trailer towing, Z71 for enhanced off-road capability, Z60 for street performance with 20-inch wheels and NHT for maximum towing capacity. The StabiliTrak electronic stability control system is standard on crew cab models and available on select extended cab models. A choice of two- and four-wheel-drive models, various cabs and bed lengths and a variety of axle ratios are also offered.

Under the Hood
While we expect the 4.3-liter V6 and 4.8-liter V8 to be more than adequate in work truck applications, we recommend the 5.3-liter V8 engines, some with cast iron blocks and some with aluminum. And for those with a thirst for power (and towing capacity) the 6.0-liter with Active Fuel Management and variable valve timing is a gem. It offers significantly more power and torque (pulling force) with very little penalty in fuel economy.

Last year, Chevrolet upgraded the Malibu midsize sedan's suspension for a more comfortable and controlled ride, improved rear-seat room (a little), and reshaped the nose a bit. Now, Chevy's just having fun. The 2015 Chevrolet Malibu gets available 4G LTE with OnStar, the same high-speed wireless connection that's probably on your smartphone. And, just like your phone, the 2015 Malibu can act as a wireless hotspot, allowing broadband Internet connections through tablets, smartphones, computers, or just about any other connected technology. Otherwise, with the exception of a few new colors, the 2015 Chevy Malibu is largely carryover, and that's fine with us. We like the quiet and comfortable ride, and the Malibu remains one of the better looking sedans in its class, inside and out.

You'll Like This Car If...
If you want solid family transportation with the unfettered entertainment options that only come from the Internet, the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu may be the answer to your midsize sedan prayers.

What's New for 2015
The biggest change to the 2015 Chevy Malibu is the addition of 4G LTE technology to OnStar. This allows the Malibu to act as a Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing computers, smartphones and tablets access to the Internet, as long as there's a 4G connection.

Driving It
Driving Impressions
The 2015 Chevrolet Malibu is a quiet, composed and competent sedan. Last year's suspension improvements went a long way toward settling the car on the road, and when combined with the quiet ride, the result is a midsize sedan that's well suited to long road trips over mile after mile of Interstate. The Malibu is also confident, if not exactly thrilling, on mountain roads too. The standard 4-cylinder engine offers decent power but only mid-pack fuel economy. The start-stop system added last year, which shuts off the engine at stoplights or in heavy stop-and-go traffic, is one of the best out there. The turbocharged Malibu offers notably more power and low-end torque, easily making the 4-cylinder competitive with the V6 engines available in other cars.

Favorite Features
4G LTE WI-FI
The Wi-Fi availability in the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu has the potential to be a game-changer in the midsize-sedan segment. The most obvious example is a long road trip, where the kids in back could stream Netflix as you drive down the Interstate.

MYLINK INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM
Chevy's MyLink infotainment system is easy to use, and packed with features. You can use your Pandora and Stitcher accounts, Bluetooth sync is fast and easy, and everything's displayed on a large 7-inch touch screen that opens to reveal a hidden storage compartment.

Vehicle Details
Interior
The 2015 Malibu is a comfortable place to while away your time on the road. Despite being on the smaller end of the midsize-sedan market, the Malibu's airy interior offers plenty of room for front passengers, and rear passengers as long as they're "tweens" or younger. The design, plus chrome accents and available leather, feel upscale for the class. At speed, the Malibu is quiet compared to its competition, and the controls and gauges are easy to use and see. Trunk space is adequate, although it's a high lift to the trunk compared to other sedans in the class.

Exterior
The 2015 Malibu carries over the new nose and tail it received last year. The design changes bring the Malibu closer to the larger Chevrolet Impala, one of the most handsome cars in its class.

Notable Standard Equipment
The basic 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LS sedan comes with a 6-speaker audio with AM/FM/CD/satellite radio, cruise control, remote keyless entry, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and standard Wi-Fi connectivity, although it requires an OnStar subscription. The LT adds 7-inch touch screen with MyLink, a USB port for audio devices, Bluetooth audio streaming and a power driver's seat. Top-line LTZ versions enhance comfort with a power passenger seat, heated front seats and leather upholstery. All 2015 Malibus have 10 airbags and a 6-month trial of GM's OnStar safety and communications system, plus a 3-month 3GB data trial.

Notable Optional Equipment
Optional on 2015 Malibu LT and LTZ midsize sedans is the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, which adds quite a bit of punch over the standard 4-cylinder. Other available options include navigation, a power sunroof, a backup camera and leather seating. The Advanced Safety Package includes blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision alert, lane-departure warning, and a rear cross-traffic alert. Those seeking a premium audio system can opt for a 9-speaker Pioneer setup.

Under the Hood
The 2015 Chevrolet Malibu offers two different engines to drive its front wheels. The first is the standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder, which comes standard with start-stop technology that shuts off the engine when the vehicle isn't moving. The upgrade engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that offers up enough power that you'll never wish for a V6. Both engines come with a 6-speed automatic transmission that includes a manual-shift mode, although the buttons mounted on top of the shift handle aren't the easiest to use. As with most midsize sedans, all versions of the Malibu can run on regular unleaded gasoline, though premium is recommended for the turbo model.

The best-selling car in America continues to impress with racy styling, new features and the same old reputation for value and quality. The Toyota Camry sedan for 2016 continues to give Americans what they want, that being an affordable 5-passenger family sedan that doesnโ€™t look like a generic rental clone. Stacked up against its main rival, the Honda Accord, the Camry comes off a bit more youthful. The Camry also offers a few more high-tech features, such as the Qi wireless charging pad. However, if you want all-wheel drive or a panoramic moonroof or ventilated front seats, youโ€™re going to have to continue to look to competitors such as the Ford Fusion, Chrysler 200 and Kia Optima.

If when car shopping in the past you've had a hard time choosing between reason and emotion, the 2016 Toyota Camry sedan is the compromise you've been hoping for.

What's New for 2016
A new Special Edition trim is added this year and includes two unique paint choices, smoked taillights and 18-inch alloy wheels. XLE and XSE trims are upgraded to include a 7-inch audio display screen.

Driving It
Driving Impressions
Thanks to last yearโ€™s revised suspension tuning, the 2016 Camry sedan from Toyota delivers a lively driving experience, yet still remains one of the quietest and most comfortable family sedans available. The standard 178-horsepower 4-cylinder engine makes up the bulk of Camry sales and although it lacks the authoritative punch of a V6 or turbocharged engine, itโ€™s more than adequate when it comes to acceleration and passing power. Those who can afford a bit more will want the 268-horsepower V6, which delivers excellent performance with only a slight reduction in fuel economy. Compared with the Honda Accord, we found the Camry felt a bit more in touch with the road, but it is still no match for the Mazda6, Ford Fusion or Nissan Maxima. The XSE trim is clearly aimed toward enthusiast drivers, but its big 18-inch wheels and stiffer shocks somewhat diminish the Camryโ€™s ride quality.

Favorite Features
WIRELESS CHARGING
Tired of stringing wires across your console to charge your mobile devices? The 2016 Camry sedan eliminates this problem with an available wireless charging pad. Although most phones require a special case to take advantage of the pad, some newer phones already incorporate the technology.

ENTUNE INFOTAINMENT
Toyotaโ€™s Entune infotainment system helps keep you connected via a 7-inch high-resolution touch screen. Also onboard are navigation, USB and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity and integrated apps for Pandora and Yelp. Standard with the navigation is 3-year complimentary access to traffic, weather, fuel prices, sports scores and stock prices.

Vehicle Details
Interior
The inside of the 2016 Toyota Camry isnโ€™t as new as the outside, but the change is apparent as soon as you settle in. With upgraded materials, designs and technologies, the 2016 Camry simply feels fresher and more contemporary than previous generations. With a decidedly Lexus-like interior, Toyota moves the Camry into a more upscale realm without sacrificing head- or legroom in the process. Even a base Camry LE is well-equipped, with features often optional on other sedans, such as the modern 6.1-inch touch-screen radio.

Exterior
Have you ever seen a more stylish Camry? We havenโ€™t. Bookended by a bold, eye-catching front end and a nicely detailed rear, the stylish โ€“ but not outlandish โ€“ Camry is sure to attract new buyers without scaring away longtime devotees. The latest Camry design language also promises to stand the test of time better than some of the segment's more novel styles, which tend to age faster. For buyers who want a little extra edge, the Camry SE, Special Edition and XSE trims offer slightly more aggressive notes.

Notable Standard Equipment
At its starting sticker price of just under $24,000 including destination charges, the 2016 Toyota Camry sedan features Toyotaโ€™s Entune infotainment system with a touch-screen display, USB device connectivity, voice recognition and a rearview camera, plus Bluetooth wireless phone and audio connectivity. The Toyota Camry also includes a 60/40-split-folding rear seat, notable only because its chief competitor, the Honda Accord, offers just a one-piece folding rear seat. The Camry also comes with 2-year/25,000-mile no-cost maintenance and two years of roadside assistance regardless of mileage, plus a long list of standard safety equipment, including 10 airbags.

Notable Optional Equipment
A fully loaded 2016 Toyota Camry XLE tops out just under $35,000 with a V6 engine, moonroof, leather, keyless entry and start, wireless phone charging, and the range-topping Entune infotainment system. It will also apply the brakes if it senses an impending collision, and alert the driver if the vehicle drifts out of its lane, if thereโ€™s a vehicle in a blind spot, or if thereโ€™s a vehicle approaching while you're backing out of a parking space. Other highlights include adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, and a Safety Connect system that includes automatic collision notification and a stolen-vehicle locator.

Under the Hood
The Camryโ€™s proven powertrain lineup remains competitive in power and fuel economy. The 4-cylinder engine is by far the most popular choice, but the more powerful V6 is rated to return just three fewer miles per gallon in city/highway-combined driving. We also like the gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain, which delivers an instant-electric kick off the line. With that said, the Accord Hybrid is the current gas-electric midsize sedan to beat. All Camrys are front-wheel drive, and the 4- and 6-cylinder engines are matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
