Crankcase gasket leaking on this deere riding mower. The slow process of removing the baked on gasket material takes longer than the disassembly and reassembly of the engine. It takes a little over a hour to chip at the hard gasket and not damage the machined aluminum underneath.

It was wonderful to have a few 60 degree days. Short sleeves and a solid week of repairs. Almost back on schedule.

Very strange running machine. Never producing an even rpm. I took the time to remove the emulsion tube to find it surrounded by hair or fur. This machine had numerous issues with mice. Flushed the carburetor, new lines, filter, and a good tank cleaning. FYI, the fuel line was paced with hair also. I told the customer to clean out their fuel cans.
