Energy over the Midwest Friday will drop to the south and southeast over the weekend, helping produce scattered showers and thunderstorms in the Wiregrass, especially from later Saturday and into Sunday. This energy will stall over the Northern Gulf of Mexico Monday. The result will be showers and thunderstorms in the Gulf, which will need to be monitored for potential tropical organization from Monday to Wednesday. Definitely not a guarantee, but enough ingredients may come together to produce a brief, lower-end system. We'll keep monitoring through the weekend. The extra cloudiness and rain will help temperatures ease starting Sunday, with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. -David

Finally got my 2 oldest (Ali & Lay) back together on the field. They playing for the Walton High varsity softball team. Their first game is this Thursday. I’ve been waiting a long time for this.
