Wow. What a weekend. Sorry in advance for two things: 1) this post is a few days late and 2) it is going to be a long (ish) one so buckle up and I don't want to hear anything about it.

Ok, now that we have that out of the way, listen up. First and foremost, we here at Lucky Thumb are wishing Dave Rogers a speedy and full recovery after his accident on Saturday during the short track races. If praying is your thing, send them his way...it's free and if it works, it works. If "good vibes" is your bag, send those too. I'm sure he would appreciate any positive anything being sent his way so...get to it.

Second, regarding the cancelation of races on Saturday - we would like to sincerely thank all of our racing family for their understanding in making the decision to cancel. The track conditions deteriorated in some spots that became quite unsafe to continue, and the feedback we received was very positive so again, thank you.

Third, thank you so much for supporting our track. We had an insane amount of riders and their families show up for this weekend and we truly appreciate each and every one of you that comes to beautiful Deford, MI. to enjoy this sport with us. We couldn't do it without you and your continued patronage means the world to us.

Fourth, a huge thanks to The Fry Guy, Sunrise Susie’s Coffee Co., and Cone-Appetit for coming out and slinging their deliciousness all weekend. I know that I personally gained about 94 pounds this weekend and I am sure I'm not the only one. It was brutally warm mixed in with some humidity but that didn't deter them one bit from hanging out and providing amazing food, drinks, and sweet treats and we are looking forward to having them all again for......(drumroll please) STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND!

Fifth, another HUGE thanks to Highline Promotions LLC for the incredible donation to the Combo Class Payout!

Lastly, thats right - state championship weekend is next month and it is going to be an amazing time filled with dirt, food and great times all around. We are working very diligently to get everything back into tip top shape and we absolutely cannot WAIT to get it on (again).

Ok listen up nerds. Today is Thursday and there is roughly one day until tomorrow. Which is Friday. Which is arguably the best day of the week not only because its Friday, but because we race. We cannot wait to see you all at the track tomorrow, and make sure you swing by the S.W.U.T. and say hi to Karen and sn**ch you some Lucky Thumb Motorcycle Club swag. The shirts this year are fire. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING!!! It is Monday, only 4 more days until RAAAAACE DAAAAAAAAY!!!!!

So this weekend is the Lucky Thumb Anniversary Weekend and I know I am excited, and you should be too. There is going to be flat track racing, some more flat track racing, probably even more flat track racing......AND FRENCH FRIES!!!!!

But seriously, we are so excited to get back on the dirt with you all and cannot wait to see you there this weekend. AHHHHHH ITS ALMOST TIME!!! okloveyoubye.
