Thank you, Deer Park! ❤️

Settlers Day is one of our favorite traditions because it's a chance to celebrate this incredible community that we love so much.

This year we had giant homemade bubbles floating over Main Street, three beautiful horses, lots of Dierks Diesel stickers, and of course... the GOOD chocolate! 🍫

Our favorite part? Hearing the cheers every time another giant bubble drifted over the crowd. Seeing so many smiling faces made our day!

This video shows the difference between the stock thrust washer setup and our in-house rollerized modification using needle bearings.

The stock setup works — but over time flat thrust washers wear, create more friction, more heat, and increased play in the gear train.

A little behind-the-scenes Dodge transmission talk from Galen.

This is a 47RE Dodge transmission — the style used in many Ram diesel pickups from the early 90's up through the first half of 2003. Like Galen says in the video, these can be really strong transmissions, but they do have a few “Achilles heels” that need to be addressed when they are being repaired or updated.

One of those is the rear sprag race. If it gets loose and starts rattling in the case, it can turn into a much bigger repair than it needed to be. Taking care of these known weak points while the transmission is apart helps make the truck more reliable and gives the repair a better chance of lasting.
