🔧🚗 Working Under the Car… Then You Meet the Plastic Push Pins! 😂

There’s nothing quite like laying underneath a vehicle trying to remove panels, shields, and trim — and then running into a whole collection of those little plastic push pins that seem determined to stay right where they are! 😅

Some come out easy. Some fight you the entire way. And then there’s always that one that decides it’s going to break just to make your day interesting. 😂

But that's part of the job! Getting everything apart carefully without damaging the parts we're trying to save is just another part of doing quality body work.

You don't have to love plastic push pins to work in a body shop… but you definitely learn to respect them! 🛠️🤣

You can see how we do it and more by swinging by our channel where we break it down into episodes.

🛠️ The DA Sander — One of the Body Shop Workhorses! 🔧

When it comes to body work, having the right tools makes a big difference. The DA (dual-action) sander is one of those tools we rely on to get the job done efficiently and leave the surface ready for the next step that's why I choose festool and the vacuum system . 🎨

Whether we’re knocking down old paint, smoothing bodywork, or getting a panel ready for primer, the DA helps us achieve a consistent finish while saving a lot of time and elbow grease!

There’s definitely more to sanding than just making dust. 😂 Proper sanding is a big part of getting a quality finish.

The right technique, the right grit, and the right tool all come together to make the difference.

You can get all the scoop on what I use and why over where we break it down into episodes.

🎰 Restoring a car is basically a high-stakes slot machine... but with better odds. 🚗💨

You pull off a fender or tear down an old engine thinking, "This is the one. Big jackpot."

Then you hit:
🍒 1st Reel: Rust under the rocker panel
🍒 2nd Reel: A stripped bolt on the frame
🍒 3rd Reel: "Custom" wiring done by the previous owner with wire nuts and household extension cord 😅

JACKPOT! 💥

Unlike the casino, though, you don't walk away empty-handed when things get tough. A little metal fabrication, some quality bodywork, and a fresh coat of paint turn a bad hand into a winning build every single time. 🛠️🎨

Nothing beats the payout when you finally back it out of the shop, shine hit the clear coat, and listen to that engine roar.

👇 What's the biggest "surprise jackpot" you've ever uncovered on a project car? Let us know in the comments!

🔥 Some people see a pile of old car parts… we see a future masterpiece. 🔥

Not every build starts with a huge budget.

Sometimes it starts with:
➡️ A rusty part from a junkyard
➡️ A used engine with a few miles left in it
➡️ A set of wheels someone threw away
➡️ A vision nobody else can see

The truth is… brand-new parts are nice, but there’s something special about bringing old parts back to life.

That moment when you fire it up for the first time… when you pull it outside and realize you built something that almost everyone else would have given up on. 🚗💨

That’s why we love cars.

It’s not just metal.
It’s memories.
It’s creativity.
It’s the story behind the build.

👇 Be honest… what’s the coolest thing you’ve ever found at a junkyard or bought cheap?

🔨🚗 I DON’T KNOW HOW TO DO BODYWORK… BUT I WANT A BODY SHOP. 😂

Have you ever looked at a huge shop and thought:

“Man… I could build one of those.”

Then reality kicks in…

“I don’t even know how to do bodywork.” 🤣

But that shouldn’t stop the dream, right?

You'd have a giant shop, a paint booth, every tool known to mankind, a lift in every corner…

And then you would stand in the middle of it like:

“Okay… now what do I do with this dent?” 😂

You might think you know how to straighten a quarter panel… but do you really🤔????

You sure know how to spend money on tools Your convinced Your eventually going to learn how to use. 🤣🔧

Some dreams require talent.

Others just require a big enough shop and questionable confidence. 😂

If you want to see how we do it without the shop above cruise by our YouTube channel

There’s nothing like working together in a body shop. 🔧🚗

One person is welding, another is sanding, someone is mixing paint, and somehow everybody knows what needs to happen next. Some one is recording. lol

It’s not always pretty. There’s dust everywhere, tools disappear when you need them most, and somebody is always saying, “Who moved my hammer?” 😂

But when everyone works together, you can take a rough, damaged vehicle and turn it into something you’re proud to see roll out of the shop.

That’s what makes a body shop special. It’s not just about fixing cars—it’s about building something together. 💪

The One That Got Away ❤️🚗

Some people have a love of their life that they never forget.

For some of us… it was an old car or an old truck. 😔

You had plans for it. You had memories in it. You spent weekends working on it, fixing it, cleaning it, and making it yours.

Then life happened.

Bills. Family. Responsibilities. Sometimes you have no choice but to sell the things you love just to keep moving forward with the things you love.

Years go by, and you see old cars that remind you of it. You think, “One day, I'll find another one.”

But somehow… you never do.

Maybe it wasn't the most valuable car you've ever owned. Maybe it wasn't the fastest or prettiest.

But it was YOUR car.

And sometimes the hardest car to replace isn't the one that cost the most…

It's the one that left a memory you can never recreate. ❤️

Have you ever had a car you wish you could get back? Tell us about it. 👇
