**Nobody tells you how many miles you put on a pair of work shoes in a body shop. 😂**

You don't think you're walking that much…

Until you realize you're constantly going:

Car → toolbox → paint booth → parts → car → mixing room → toolbox → car… 🔄😂

Then do it again.

And again.

And again.

By the time the week is over, those shoes have probably traveled farther than some people drive their cars. 👟🤣

That's why it feels like you're buying new work shoes **way more often than you should.**

**There’s always that moment when you have to decide how to tell a customer they need tires. 😂**

You look at the tires…

Look at the tread…

Look at the sidewalls…

And then you have that conversation:

**“You might want to start thinking about some new tires.”** 😬

Customer: “How long do you think these will last?”

You: **“Well… that depends on how much you enjoy stopping.”** 😂

Nobody wants to hear they need tires, but sometimes it's better to have the conversation **before** the tires become a problem.

**How many cleaning rags can one shop go through in a day? 😂**

You start the morning with a nice, clean stack.

A few hours later…

**Where did they all go?** 🤔

One for wiping down a panel.
One for cleaning the booth.
One for polishing.
One for wiping your hands.
One that somehow got covered in something you don't even remember touching. 😂

And before you know it, you've got a mountain of rags.

So here's the big shop question:

**Throw them away or wash them and reuse them?** 🧽

💥 **YOU’VE GOT THOUSANDS INTO IT… THEN THIS HAPPENS.** 😩🚗💥

You’ve spent money on the paint.
New wheels.
New tires.
Maintenance.
Upgrades.
Maybe even a full restoration.

You finally get it exactly how you want it…

**Then it get's into an accident.** 🤦‍♂️

Now you’re standing there looking at the damage thinking:

👉 **Do I fix it and keep going?**
👉 **Or do I take the insurance money and find something else?**

The hard part is, you can't always replace the **money, time, and memories** you already have in that car.

But sometimes the damage is bad enough that fixing it just doesn't make financial sense.

So here's the question…

A simple trick with mechanic wire and tape makes fishing wires through tight spots so much easier. How do you usually pull wires through panels? 👍

**Nobody talks about the cleanup after a BIG job. 😂**

You finish the car.

You step back.

You look at it and think…

**“Man, that turned out great!”** 😎

Then you turn around and look at the shop…

😳

Dust everywhere.
Tape everywhere.
Sandpaper everywhere.
Empty boxes.
Parts stacked in places they shouldn't be.
Tools that somehow traveled halfway across the shop.

And now the next big job isn't fixing a car…

**It's Cleaning the shop again.** 😂😂

Big jobs are rewarding…

**until you realize you're the one who has to clean up after them.** 🧹🤣

Who else has looked around their shop after a big job and thought, **“Where do I even start?”** 😂

**Nobody knows where the 10mm socket goes.**

You can have 37 other sockets sitting exactly where they belong…

But the **10mm?**

Gone. 😂

You look under the car.

Check the toolbox.

Look on the workbench.

Ask everybody in the shop.

Nothing.

Then six months later, you find it sitting somewhere that makes absolutely no sense.

**The 10mm doesn't get lost. It just leaves when it's ready.** 🤣

At this point, I'm convinced every shop has a secret drawer somewhere full of nothing but missing 10mm sockets.

**Every shop has that one thing hanging on the wall that has absolutely nothing to do with fixing cars… but there's no way it's coming down. 😂**

Maybe it's an old sign.

A piece of automotive memorabilia.

A license plate.

A neon light.

A picture.

Or something you found years ago and thought, “Yep… that's going in the shop.” 😂

Half the fun of having a garage or shop is making it **your space.**

We've got our favorites around the shop, but now we're curious…
