The other day I was hanging out with a friend. This friend is a Christian, but he doesn’t always act, speak or think like one. Some days, he is completely in-line with God’s Word, and some days, his life is a struggle that gets the best of him.
As our eyes met, I really wanted to say something about it, but, I decided to let the Lord speak to his heart, knowing nothing that I say will have the same impact as the Father’s words.
So.......…. I prayed with him, and after some time had passed, I winked at him, and walked away from the mirror.
I try everyday, and I fail everyday. I am so not perfect, I am a work in progress, and I'm thankful for God’s grace and His promises to His believers. 🙏🏻❤️🙌🏻

Wow, I love waking up on a Sunday morning and seeing that there was 25 Mini Sprints all racing at the same track on the same night. That's how you make for an awesome show. Great Job Robbie Smith on taking the win from the 9th starting spot.

05/17/2016

Okay so, you got 8 cars down at Hendry where Eddie Moss Jr. won. Good job Ed. 9 cars at Eastbay where Dustin Cates won. Good job Dusty. 4 cars at MarionCounty Speedway where Ian Schroeder won. Good job Ian. 6 Florida cars at Needmore where Robbie Smith won. Good job Robbie. That's 27 Winged Mini Sprints running from Florida last night and the largest field of cars was 10. Does anyone see anything wrong here? Wait don't answer that. I am not looking for comments or arguments. I just would like everyone to see that there could have been one helleva race at one track if all 27 driver's and crews could get on the same page. Rant over. Thanks for your time.

Moss Motorsports Off To A Slow Start
From The Driver's Seat With John Moss

The Moss Motorsports Atlantic Powder Coating/Hyper Racing Mini Sprint has had a really slow start to the season. Opening the Season we had issues in both Pactice and the Heat Race, starting us last on a 12 car field for the feature. With no laps on the car we were able to make it around the track and finish a dismal 9th place with the Florida Mini Sprint Action.

Next Race Rain-Out

We then traveled up to North Florida and ran for the first time at All-Tech Speedway with the United Sprint Car Series. It is an extremely big Track. The car got around the track, we just seemed to be down on power. We missed practice, but were able to tag the rear on the Dash for Cash with 4 cars. #67 David Hall would blow up and we would finish 3rd out of 4. We started last out of 9 in our Heat and were only able to get to 7th, which is were we would start in the Feature. We came out strong moving into the top 5 only to lose the handle on the car and end up 8th.

Next Race Rain-Out

In our Race with the F.M.S.A. this past week we were able to show some improvement finally. Practice went okay. We started 7th out of 7 and were able to make our way up to 3rd in a stacked Heat Race, thinks to a little set-up help from Pawn King/Todd's Tomatoe's Driver Robby Hoffman. This would put us in the pill draw and a 3 would get pulled starting us on the Pole for the Feature. I was able to lead the first couple of laps and had a great side by side battle for the lead for about 2 laps with the #66 Hoffman. #77 Robbie Smith would make it 3 wide down in turns 3 and 4 and I would slip back to 3rd. #45 Kenny Brewer and #23 Rhea Lynn Moss would both get by me about half way through the Race and that is where we would finish, collecting our first Top 5 of the Season.

Moss Motorsports will be Teaming up with Moss Racing and Crowder Racing this week as we head to South Carolina's, Sumter Speedway to run with the Lucas Oil Southern States Midget Series. Thanks to all the Fans that came out and supported us this past week.

NIGHT TWO AT DIXIE COUNTY SPEEDWAY IN WOODSTOCK, GA
From The Driver's Seat With John Moss
The #95 Paige Moss Racing Mini Sprint and the Moss Motorsports(Jackie Moss)/Atlantic Powder Coating(Harold Matthews) Mini Sprint made the trip to Dixie County Speedway for Night Two of our racing this past weekend. Mr. Johnny Crowder would be doing the wrenching with Eddie Moss Jr. just a phone call away.
Practice & "Dash For Cash": In practice both cars were way off on gearing and due to the fact that we both finished in the top 6 the night before we would be running the "Dash For Cash". The way the line-up was we did not have enough time to change the gears before the dash. Paige would draw the second position and I would be starting right behind her in position four, for the "Dash". We both knew we were off on gearing but we decided to go out and get the extra seat time on the track and use it as a second practice session. The #95 Paige Moss ended up braking the bracket on her top wing and folding it over causing handleing issues along with gearing issues finishing 4th. The Hyper Racing Machine was terrible on speed and we ended up 5th out of 6.
Rain Delay: We had plenty of time to get the wing fixed on the #95 and dial both cars in on gearing and handleing. Johnny was watching the track and made the right adjustments to both our cars to keep us up front in the Heat. The track decided to combine both Heat Races together due to time restraints and Paige and myself would be starting first and third.
Heat Race: #95 P. Moss got a great start from the Pole Position and I was in tow following right behind. We would both push up the track in turn 2 as the Mike Magic and the #07 Brandon Taylor would take the lead and second position. Lap two the #95 was strong with the hot on her heals. Coming off of 4 the Shawn Nelson went to the bottom and the and made slight contact. The was able to keep the momentum as the fell back. This is how we would finish with Magic taking the checkered, 2nd would go to #07 Taylor, 3rd to #95 P. Moss, 4th to J. Moss, 5th to #98 Bob Tapino.
Feature Race: The pill draw would be in the and the #95's favor as we would start in the 2nd and 4th positions. I was able to get a good clean start next to the #98 Bob Trapino and we would make the first circuit running one and two. The #07 Taylor who started 6th would dive under the coming off of turn two forcing me to take a different line down in turns 3 and 4. That different line did not adjust well with the car and got extremely lose, losing the third and forth positions to the Remeno Loyal and the Magic. We would go green to checkered and the would settle in and finish 5th for my second top 5 of the weekend. The #95 ended up folding the wing over once again and had handleing issues the whole race finishing up in 7th. While the #07 Brandon Taylor Racing Maching took home the top honors, the Loyal came home 2nd, followed by the Magic in 3rd, and the #98 Trapino in forth.

NIGHT ONE AT BOYD RACEWAY IN RINGGOLD, GA
From The Driver's seat with John Moss
The Moss Motorsports, Moss Racing, Crowder Racing Mini Sprints teamed up and went north for some USCS Racing this past weekend and there was a great time had by all. In practice we thought we were going to be chasing gearing issues throughout the night. The #95 Paige Moss Racing Machine and the Hyper Racing Mini Sprint were extremely close on gearing. #30 Johnny Crowder ended up getting pushed off to the pits due to the engine siezing up ending his racing for the weekend. That would be a blessing in diguise for Paige and myself though, because Johnny ended up on the fence able to make some great calls on our cars and keep[ them dialed in.
Heat 1: Saw the #95 Paige Moss draw position 6 on the seven car field. Paige would not progress much in the race due to some handleing issues, but she did have a great battle for the 5th spot for most of the race switching positions numerous times ending up 6th as the #07 Brandon Taylor went on to win from the 3rd starting position.
Heat 2: The Atlantic Powder Coating/Hyper Racing Mini Sprint drew the 6 spot, but with the #30 Crowder dropping out it would move me to position 5. At the drop of the green the #44 was able to get by the on the start. On lap 2, I was able to make the pass on the #0. Now I had the #98 Bob Trapino and the Mike Magic trying to set sail on me with 4 to go. I was able to make up a lot of ground on the bottom and coming to the checkered missed the second position by a front bumper. The Magic would take the win. Thankfully passing points were in effect and that put me 3rd in passing points. With a 6 being drawn for the invert I would stay were I was.
Feature Time: The green would fly and the action was hot and heavy. The top 5 cars were slicing and dicing switching positions in every corner. On lap 3 the was battling for the top position and I would overdrive the car and do a little spin bringing out the cation sending me to the back of the 12 car field. The #95 P. Moss had worked past a couple of cars moving up to the 9th position. Green would fly again and I knew I had to be patient. We had a long green flag run and I was able to work traffic methodically and get to the 6th position when the yellow would come out again on lap 17 for the #29 Kyle Amerson with a blown engine. On the restart I was able to get by the Romeno Loyal down in turn 1 moving up to 5th as the #95 P. Moss was in tow coming through with me to take the 6 position. I was able to pick another car off on the last and final lap to get to 4th as the #95 P. Moss would settle for 6th. Putting us both in the "Dash for Cash" for Night 2 at Dixie County Speedway. The #07 Brandon Taylor Racing Machine would take the checkerd, with the Magic and the #98 Trapino claiming third and forth. "It was an extemely fun track to run and I was happy to take home my first top 5 of the season in only my third start this year. I can not say enough good things about Mr. John Crowder and Eddie Moss Jr. Those 2 guys helped me get my car dialed in and it was extremely fast.

Hoffmann Returns to Victory Lane At Bubba Raceway Park
From The Driver's Seat With John Moss

It was a Spectacular Night of Fireworks and Racing for The Florida Mini Sprint Action and The #12 Pawn King Hyper Racing Machine of Robby Hoffman. 17 Mini Sprints signed into the pits for the July 3rd race with $750.00 going to the winner. The cars would be divided into 3 Heats.

Heat Race 1 would see the #12 Robby Hoffman on the Pole with the #33 Carlie Yent on the outside front row. In row 2 #95 Paige Moss with Austin Craddock and on the 3rd row we would have # 24x Danny Sams III and #30 Johnny Crowder. #30 Crowder would have to scratch due to engine woes and the #95 P. Moss and #33 Yent would both throw chains before the green would drop. That still left 3 extremely fast Mini Sprints to work it out between themselves. #12 Hoffman would jump to an early lead while Sams III and Craddock would fall into second and third positions. Sams III would give a couple looks to #12 Hoffman but was unable to complete the pass. All three cars were close enough to throw a blanket over.
Heat Race 2 had the Screamin IAN Racing - 11s and the Atlantic Powder Coating/Hyper Racing Mini Sprint of John Moss on the front row. Row 2 had the #96 Nikki Voisey and the #67 David Hall and row 3 would have the Dylan Colding and the #28 Conner Morrell. On the start #67 Hall would get a great start and jump to the high side taking the lead coming out of turn 2. The Ian Schroeder and the J. Moss would fall into the second and third positions while the Colding and the #96 Voicey would jump in line for fourth and fifth with #28 Morrell bringing up the rear. This is how the field would stay.
Heat Race 3 would see the #51 Dustin Cates and the #23 Rhea Lynne Moss on the front row with the #8 Eddie Moss Jr. and the #77 Robbie Smith on Row 2 and the #68 Dirk Miller tailing the field. #8 Moss Jr. would get to the bottom and take an early lead with #77 Smith jumping to the top to grab second. Smith and Moss Jr. would switch places on 2 different occasions before caution would fly for a spinning #23 R. Moss. #23 R. Moss would be able to continue. #8 Moss Jr. would be out front for a Delaware restart and as his luck would have it, he would break the transmission and bunch everyone up with #68 Miller coming out of nowhere to take the lead with #77 Smith lurking behind. #77 Smith would drive by on the outside of the #68 Miller to take the checkered while #51 Cates and #23 R. Moss would battle it out for third and fouth with Cates taking home third and #23 R. Moss fourth.
FEATURE TIME!! Hoffman would pull a 1 out of the pill bottle to line up the field just like they finished in the Heats. This one would go Green to Checkered and the #12 Hoffman would show the way for every lap. I can tell everyone this Hoffman never gave up the led, but he was challenged numerous times by the #77 Smith and the Danny Sams III. There were battles going on all over the track as #77 Smith and Sams III switched places all night. #68 Miller and #67 Hall also had a nice battle going on for fourth and fifth as the #23 R. Moss, the Craddock and the J.Moss put on quite a show for the sixth, seventh and eighth positions weaving in and out of traffic and switching positions on numerous occasions.
All this being said it was an excellent and fun night of racing for The Florida Mini Sprint Action and I would also like to think John T. Crowder LLC. and Atlantic Powder Coating(Harold Matthews) for their continued support with the F.M.S.A. Also Thank You Bubba Raceway Park for the Awesome Fireworks.
