Here are your 6/14/26 podium pics.
102 entries! WOW! And nobody to thank but you all ! Yes all the racers and enthusiast who continue to support and help Strickland grow are solely responsible for this so from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!
Phil, Heather , and Jen, thank you for believing in me and making our vision come to life. This does not happen without you all.
Volunteers like Chris Oathaut, Jacob and Cody Gray who help with our practices give yall a huge advantage on race day so I want to say thank you.
Race day was intense. It was a long day and very hot but we all found shade and made it happen.
Some stand outs I was able to watch was TC classes as Dustin Rhodes, Keith Manton, Todd Allen, and Starling Gibson , and Sean Wager showed the way to some great racing and some hard earned podiums.
As always I love to watch the GT12 which was taken by Sean Wager with Mike Bean in the 2 spot but absolutely the best race of the day. These two guys always bring the closest finishes and man it’s fun to watch.
Billy Bruce crushes two classes with victories in both nascar series and euro truck. This dude has some skills. David Roach had his hand in on euro truck but couldn’t catch the flow Billy had for the day. Scott Galante takes the 3 spot after a spill or two which allowed Billy to grab some ground. Had he not made a mistake this would have been the closest race of the day.
Izzy Santiago! WOW! right? 9 F-1 cars this race. This was Izzy doing his magic and making this grow exponentially in the past year. I believe there were two more that didn’t make the main. Congrats to Starling, John Miller and Mr. Oathout on your podiums in the most graceful class in RC.
There were a lot of new names on the registration this time and I want to thank those new comers for coming out and seeing what an awesome track we’ve built for everyone to enjoy.
I am honestly in tears writing this as I know how proud my dad would have been to see the success of this place.
In 1982 I started racing BMX and my dad built a nationally recognized track in Deland. I raced until age 16 when I was handed a full pro sponsorship from SE Racing. My love for surfing kept me from starting the pro season and I never went back to racing. He was always proud of what we did together. The track was very successful for the same reasons we are. Great people and amazing support from great people who share the love of racing.
My point is that this is in my DNA. I love you guys and love it when I see yall having a good time and smiling and cutting up. I also love seeing the respect and hard work that goes into the vehicles. I have the utmost respect for every one of you.
Thank you for supporting this adventure we all enjoy together.
God bless y’all and have an amazing week.
