Fun, Fun, Fun. Another week another timing job. Infiniti QX60 had timing codes - P0011 and P0014- had a secondary tensioner that wasn’t applying tension. Waiting on parts from the dealer to button it all up tomorrow…Gotta love Fridays! Everybody wants their car back on Friday…

The nightmare is finally over. We had this 2017 Ford Escape SE 2.0T in the shop off and on for several months now. It’s been a journey and a learning process to say the least, but we emerged victorious in the end.

What did we learn?

Well for one thing, we learned that you can’t take a 2017 escape, put a 2016 head and 2016 single scroll turbocharger along with a catalytic converter that only fits a 16 and modify the exhaust to make it fit and expect it to run right. At least that’s what the people who last touched this car before selling it at a major car lot in Miamisburg.

We had to start all over again, get a new 2017 motor and 2017 turbo and reconstruct this powertrain the way it was intended to work.

Now it’s got a new lease on life.

Another Job well done
