Your HANS device is a critical piece of safety equipment — but it also needs to stay current. 🏁
If your device carries an SFI 38.1 certification, it needs to be recertified every 5 years to remain compliant. Recertification also gives you a chance to catch wear that may not be obvious at first glance, including damaged tethers, cracks, delamination, or other signs of deterioration.
Before your next event, check:
- The date on your SFI certification label
- Tether condition
- Collar and structure for visible damage
- Hardware and mounting points
