Attention customers: The paving on hwy 400 is making it very difficult to get to us today. We’re also experiencing delays in receiving parts because of the traffic and turning lane closures. Please be patient with us as we deal with these unforeseen issues. If you will be late or need to reschedule your appointment, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to make arrangements! Thank you!

Steps to Check Engine Oil
•••
X
1. Park on Level Ground
• Make sure your car is on a flat surface.
• Turn off the engine and let it cool for at least 5-10 minutes (so oil settles in the pan).
2. Locate the Dipstick
• Open the hood.
• Find the dipstick (usually with a yellow or orange handle).
3. Remove and Clean
• Pull out the dipstick.
• Wipe it clean with a cloth or paper towel.
4. Reinsert and Check
• Insert the dipstick fully back in.
• Pull it out again and look at the oil level.
5. Read the Markings
• The dipstick has two marks (LOW & FULL).
• Oil level should be between the two marks.
• If below LOW → Add oil.
• If over FULL → Drain excess (too much oil can damage engine).
6. Check Oil Condition
• Oil should be clear brown/amber.
• If it's black, gritty, or milky, it may need replacement or indicate a problem (like coolant mixing with oil).
Tip: Always use the oil type recommended in
your car's manual.
