This Wagoneer came by this week in need of a heavy cleanup, decon, and polish of the paint. Signature Coating Package for this Wagoneer underway!

But first, before we lay down any coatings the paint gets polished prior. Also referred to as paint correction.

Paint correction is the art of refining the condition of paint to enhance its overall clarity, gloss, and depth. It is utilized as a way to remove defects from the surface of the paint and restore it to a like new finish.

Paint correction is an art form that isn’t able to be learned overnight, over a weekend, or even a week. It takes years of practice, product testing, and the need to understand how various paint systems work. Not all paint (clear coat) is the same. It varies from model to model, make to make. What works on one car may not work on another. Finding a detailer who understands this and is able to adapt to the conditions at hand is key in the overall result of your vehicle’s looks. It is also necessary to understand that if done incorrectly you can leave the surface worse than when you started. Burning edges, removing too much clear coat, and even inducing marring can be a result of an inexperienced detailer.

It is very important when choosing your detailer that you recognize that not all are the same. Anyone can buy polishers, pads, and chemicals. It’s how those tools are used is what defines true detailers from the ones trying to capitalize on an ever expanding market. Do your research, ask questions, look at their work and get a gauge of the quality work the shop produces.

I’ve been slacking on posting! Been super busy lately and have completely slacked on posting updates or completed work. I’ll get back to regular positing tomorrow!

Hopefully everyone weathered the storms yesterday safely and without damage. ⛈️

If anyone had damage to their vehicle via limbs, debris, etc. and have had the vehicle coated by me, get ahold of me today so that we can get your coating replaced under insurance. You turn the quote into insurance (if using it) and they cover the cost to have that coating replaced.

Today we have two white mid sized SUVs in the shop for detail work. The Acadia we coated and is getting maintenance done, cleanup was a breeze! Slickness to the paint, strong hydrophobics, and spots like tar and bugs came off without much effort.

The XT6 has not been coated and is just getting a regular detail. The non coated surfaces needed twice the time, chemicals, and elbow grease to get it clean!
Coatings are seriously no joke! They not only protect your vehicle but make it so much easier to care for with a fraction of the time or effort required. Money well spent.

Coating maintenance with engine bay detail

Little late to the party on posting this car we did but this car got cleaned up prior to the Hot Rod Power Tour since it is going thru the area this year. (Going on this week)

Car was coated previously by us and came in for maintenance of the coating, interior cleanup, and finally an engine bay detail. Everything looks and is performing excellent as expected!

Another busy day!

Ford F250 was fully polished and is getting the last spots touched up and fully coated today.

Harley bike was in for a maintenance cleanup and coating on new parts and pieces. Will be going home as soon as it stops raining absolute buckets of water! 💦

Ford Lightning was coated close to two years ago now and is back today for a maintenance detail and to redo the coating on a couple panels that needed reworked due to a previous hail storm. ⛈️

Luckily for this customer they chose to do their coatings with Devil is in the Detail. So since these coatings are reported to Carfax and warranted, insurance covers the repairs!

Signature Coating Package

This mean machine came to the shop recently for the full workup. Wash, heavy decon, polish, and full range of coatings inside and out. This “Destroyer Grey” paint was in relatively good shape, but was covered in tar deposits which needed removed before we could start the polishing process. Once the paint was back to being smooth, it was fully polished to remove swirls, etchings, and isolated defects such as factory sanding marks. Once the paint was the way we wanted it it was coated in Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra. In addition to the paint, the glass, wheels, and interior surfaces were also coated for longterm protection, enhanced looks, and simple future maintenance.

Absolute beast of a grocery getter that has a few upgrades already with more planned in the future. Look forward to seeing what else is planned for this build!

Chevrolet Camaro SS

Signature Coating Package

This well kept Camaro was recently picked up in Ohio and is spending a small amount of time in Illinois before finally being placed into a collection in Arizona. Kind of a unique ordeal with this car on a to tight timeframe but I’m never one to back down from a challenge. The owner wanted this car to be as perfect as it could be and protected with the best we offer. Oh, and fully tinted to protect it from the Arizona heat and sun. I had my marching orders. 🫡

To kick the job off, a Hail Mary phone call pass was made to Jordan to get him to the shop for the tint. Thankfully, he was able to squeeze it in and got it looking perfect.

From there, the paint was fully polished and coated in all Gtechniq coatings. Ultra + EXO combo for the paint and body will make this thing ridiculously protected, slick, and easy to maintain. Wheel faces and exhaust tips were coated, as well as the glass and full interior. Lastly, the engine bay is as fully cleaned and dressed.

The job was a tall order but we got it knocked out and looking amazing! The yellow paint absolutely pops now and is ridiculously slick.

From cars bound to a collection across the country, to farm trucks, to mom mobiles, and everything in between we do them all to only the highest of standards.

This is so much more than basic detailing and cleaning cars. It is restoration of your vehicle, preservation of your investment, and turning heads left and right.
