We have a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the shop that just left the dealership with no idea as to a fix for a cyl 6 misfire. They quoted $18,000 to replace the engine. The customer wanted a second opinion and found our shop. We tested compression on the entire bank. Cyl 6 was very low. We then did a leak down test to find air escaping out the exhaust. So know we know we have a head issue and not a bottom end issue. Informed customer on what our plan was and the cost. We tore it down to find a broken exhaust valve. We saved this customer roughly $13,000 by doing the work to find the issue.

Times are tough for everyone and everyone is pinching pennies. Sometimes that means trying your hand at automotive repair or you seek out the cheapest guy you can find on Facebook. This one got a weekend of brake work but mistakes were made and needed a hand so we picked the car up with no brakes but we got the car back to operating condition with all systems functions.

Yep it’s a Friday. Andy is trying to find the firewall. Josh pulled an engine cradle. Burt changed a master cylinder and other brake work. I test drove a few. Changed 4 TPMS sensors along with an alignment and in will have the heads off this 3.6 here shortly. Very busy day. We can do it all. Don’t sleep on the little shops.
