🚘2005 Nissan Xterra
🚧Concern: Transmission started to slip and failed.

The customer was driving her vehicle when the transmission started to slip in all gears. Within 30 minutes the transmission failed.

Cause: Her radiator cools the engine coolant and transmission fluid in one radiator assembly. The radiator split internally allowing the two fluids to mix and flow into the engine and transmission simultaneously. The incorrect fluid being introduced to the transmission caused it to fail prematurely.

📌This issue happened by no one's fault, sometimes parts give out from age and use. If you're feeling that your transmission is slipping and not acting as normal, don't continue to drive the car so catastrophic failure can be avoided.

She will need a New radiator, Rebuilt/replacement transmission, engine flush, engine coolant, and transmission fluid.

🚘2007 Chevrolet Suburban
🚧Concern: The Traction/Stability control light is on & grinding noise when braking.

The customer brought in her 07 Suburban to get the traction control light checked out and she also wanted to know why her vehicle grinded when stopping.

The effects from her brake pads being worn out severely, caused the metal backing plate on the pad to come in contact with the rotor.
After this has happened, the rotor will take extensive damage when braking.

📌The vehicles traction control light turned on for this reason, the ABS module can also sense the pulsations given off from the ridges of the bad rotor as you can see in the last two images.
If one wheel is braking correctly and the other is not when pressing the pedal, the vehicle assumes you are loosing traction and control thus turning on the traction light.

We had a customer bring us her 2007 Nissan Sentra 4cylinder 2.0L

❗️She was at a stoplight when the vehicle suddenly stopped on her. There where previous symptoms of the timing chain having issues with a crank no start.

🔧After teardown inspection, we noticed that the engine failed from the timing chain. It had stretched and eventually, a few of the links broke loose and completely shut off the engine.

❗️This motor is an interference design. Which means that once the chain or belt breaks the piston head will impact the bottom of the valves when turning for a cycle.

⌚️Basic maintenance could have prevented this from happening. Continuously changing your oil on the scheduled interval can prevent premature wear on the engine and chain which is cooled by the same oil. Your vehicle is an extension of who you are, take care of it and it will take care of you!

On the last photo, you can see a low mileage maintained motor. The camshafts have very low coloring indicating that the oil was changed often as well as the head valley below the cams. We replaced the motor on this vehicle and gave it a new breath of life. Fresh oil and coolant to complete the swap and off it went.

A loyal customer had some suspensions issues on his 2006 Ford Mustang.
His concern on the vehicle was the passenger side tire was sitting at an angle, and the driver side wheel was perfectly straight when you looked at it from the front.

Upon further questioning and inspection, the vehicle was in a front end collision. The passenger side took the blunt force of the impact, causing slight bends in the steering knuckle as shown below. Upon having to replace the steering knuckle we also recommended he change out the front struts, control arm assemblies, and the outer tie rods. All these were also worn out from daily driving, and also sustained some damage from the impact. We did a basic level rebuild on the front end.

We saved our customer some money on the top end, sourcing a perfectly good steering knuckle with a good wheel bearing. Once we replaced all these front end suspension parts and had the vehicle aligned, the difference from everything we installed really made the vehicle feel like it just drove off the lot.

One of our customers brought in her 2003 Ford Ranger V6 4.0 for a preliminary inspection. She was having overheating issues on the truck but had no idea why.

After initial inspection, she had overheated the truck from running tap water in the cooling system with no antifreeze. She had driven the truck on a day where the temperatures where below freezing, causing the water in the cooling system to freeze and expand. Once this happened it did not circulate throughout out the engine to properly cool it, which is the same thing as running your vehicle with no coolant/antifreeze causing the engine to overheat.

We where able to find her a low mileage-used engine, and had her back in her Ranger within a couple of days as if it never happened.

We recommend to always have coolant/antifreeze in your vehicle. Not doing so will cause premature wear on the engine block, internal cooling system seals, and even your head-gasket.

Engines are not flexible and are NOT meant to accommodate a freezing liquid internally. (The freezing temperature for water is 32 degrees F, or 0 degrees C)

❗️Running only water in a cast iron block will cause the engine to rust internally.
❗️Running only water in a block that is aluminum will cause the vehicle to run
hotter then normal potentially leading to a warped or even cracked head.

A complete front end suspension for a 2008 Chrysler 300C. The vehicle had several worn out front end suspension parts. The Chrysler was pulling one way when you would drive it down the road, and had several clunk noises on acceleration, and braking.
Once we completed a whole front end suspension swap and performed an alignment, we had this 300C rolling like a BRAND new car!

This Chevrolet Suburban was brought into the shop that had a bad knocking noise coming from the engine. Turns out it had spun a bearing and the owner decided they would rather purchase a low mileage motor. After a few days, and the best prices in town we had them on there way running as if it never happened.
