Paladin SpeedWorks Paladin SpeedWorks is here to serve in assisting your high performance auto build needs. We provide So we asked why doesn’t this happen as much anymore?

Our goal is to help enthusiasts old and new build the custom or classic of their dreams in a more cost effective manner. We offer consultation and build planning services as well as build auditing to make sure you are getting what you are paying for. We offer labor assistance for those who want to truly embrace the hot rodding experience by using one of our build plans to guide them on their self built project when they need that"extra" set of hands. We realized several years ago the enthusiast hobby was getting out of the price range of the average enthusiast. That’s when we decided to break free from the common practices of the industry and strike out on our own once again to bring prices back within the realm of the attainable to all. You should not have to be rich to be an enthusiast with your own custom Street Rod or Hot Rod. The American Hot Rod movement was started by normal blue collar men and women who wanted a cool car that was all their own. A car or truck that showed their distinct individual personality in the art form of the automobile. These weren’t millionaires these were hard working individuals who wanted something special. Well the answer is the market has been artificially inflated because of the excesses of two particular generations in trying to relive their youth. As their wealth increased they slowly priced everyone else out of the market. Sadly we admit we fell prey to this as well and for that WE apologize. We have as an act of restitution founded Paladin Speedworks to bring this hobby back to the average person and to re-instill the pride of the American car culture back into the American people. That is also why we chose the picture we did to represent OUR story it is gritty it is real and when all is said and done it will be polished and refined but will never lose it’s heart and soul. Like the American Car Culture it had humble beginnings but that is what makes it beautiful!

We are happy to announce we will start handling cams again but only Hydraulic roller as we are sill seeing issues in the heat treating with solid lifters.

As we have been monitoring the performance parts quality control situation, we have come to the conclusion we will have to evaluate every new customer on a case by case basis as the availability of New Old Stock parts is rapidly dwindling and the prices sky rocketing accordingly. It appears from what we as a business and other shops we work with have experienced newly manufactured parts are a bit questionable at best. We have had failures on major name new parts and even off brands as have many shops and we have had new OEM parts fail catastrophically immediately to the point with Betty Rumbles our Boss's hot rod wagon we have had to warranty 3 alternators in 5 weeks the last one tried to catch fire. So far this time the boss has made it a full week and we are watching it closely. We have had multiple cam failures on newly manufactured cams. Fortunately we were aware this was happening industry wide so we were able to prevent any catastrophic failures in our work. So if you wish for us to upgrade your car please be patient as we look for NOS parts for your vehicle. That is the bad news, as for the good news we have not seen this with Harley performance parts as long as we order from HD or Arlen Ness. We have not had requests that would lead us outside of those two manufacturers recently so we can not speak to other manufacturers at this time but we will look for NOS parts from any manufacturer outside of the above mentioned.

Well for those in the know some updates: Betty Rumbles is well on her way to being back to where she was before S got tangled up with the scammer. Unfortunately our camera was corrupt so this is gonna be an at fault so that sucks. Jolene the newish shop truck will be on the way next to being put back together, now we just avoid all parking lots with Uhaul trucks in them. For the new folks and those not in the know 3/31 S got caught up in a swoop and squat. Even at 100% Brake below 30mph she collided with the rear car in the two car team. Betty Rumbles received $2,635.64 in damage and the scammers car was rated at over $4,600. Basically she went under his rear bumper so it took out Betty's headlights and grille as well as doing damage to the top of the bumper cover. The grille caused some minor hood damage since it is mounted to a steel support structure which popped the emblems out of the hood ornament. Then less than a month later while doing some service work with our Scout Troop we support Jolene had her face ripped off while parked by a UHaul truck that tried to flee. He was caught by witnesses and made to turn back. In the process of returning he managed to hit a church building. When talking to the cops he claimed he had no knowledge of either incident. If he was drunk that might have made sense but he was sober and had just finished running a 5k so we think he was either dehydrated or suffering from mild heat exhaustion. Unfortunately the rookie officer let him go before the watch commander had reached back out to the supervising officers to confiscate his drivers license and hold him for a ride and someone else to drive the UHaul. I really hope he didn't hit anyone or anything else. Our Insurance is fighting with us on the damages to Betty Rumbles and the UHaul insurance is trying to claim limits issues but they have accepted liability they are just going as slow as humanly possible in getting us the initial check. As for ours well....Traveler's has lost my business as they are seriously devaluing the car and trying to over inflate the repair estimate so they can total Betty Rumbles out. We will be switching carriers shortly and possibly suing 's for bad faith. So for all of our customers, friends, and those that are both that is your update and we will advise you all to think twice before getting a policy with 's.
