Job Summary:
The Car Salesman is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers that result in vehicle sales. This vital role must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, and can work independently to help build the business. Some duties include meeting with customers to discuss their needs, promoting sales offers at their dealership and participating in test drives with interested customers.
Job Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To):
• Build customer relations with existing and new guests
• Consistently deliver top-notch customer service
• Maintain a professional look and attitude in the workplace
• Provide specific vehicle information to customers
• Facilitate and join customers on test drives from the dealership
• Close car sales using strong negotiation and customer service skills to ensure a positive sales experience
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Job Requirements:
• Automotive sales experience is a plus but not necessary for this role
• Knowledge and interest in the automotive car industry
• Valid, state-issued driver’s license
• Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency
• Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills
